NBA 2024-25 Season Thread
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
On DraftKings, you can get Quickley to average 20 ppg +200
The same bet on Duel is -105
Mistake?
Market Inefficiency?
I see Scottie Barnes is -125 for 20+ on FD while a staggering -240 on DK.
Anyway, thanks. I jumped on it. IQ averaged 18.6ppg in 33.3 mins/game in playing all 38 contests for the Raptors. Im a huge ran of his game and he shot 39.5% last season… only needs to shoot a little better / play a few more mins.
Uhh why would the team with three centers want to trade one of them? Must be to save money
Not wanting to pay Towns $225 MM over 4 years? Must be “financial reasons”
aim - how do you think this bodes for our randle road to mvp riches?
That was the first thing I thought of.
Not good.
And I think he’s not done moving yet. Twolves I’m thinking move him for 2-3 role players for depth. Randle and Gobert makes little sense iyakm.
Maybe Randle to the Lakers for some of their role players.
He can then run and gun on their 2nd unit, win 6MOY, and finish games in some big lineups.
Randle/Gobert front-line.
Feel bad for ANT
BBALL REF Projects IQ at exactly 20.0 ppg for 24-25 season.
+200 was FAT VALUE! Thanks again KoD for the hot tip!
Wait til they void it as an obvious error!
Agree this prob won’t be the last move for the Wolves, that fit makes very little sense.
Poor Donte. Dude balled out last year, prob won’t ever be in as good a situation.
I refuse to believe the wolves make this trade unless one of ant, KAT, or WOATbert threw a fit about KAT still being on this team
There’s just no scenario where the wolves are better today with the most empty stat big who ever lived than they were a week ago

word on the street he was really unhappy about the whole nova knicks thing and wasn't looking forward playing reduced minutes in his contract year

he was definitely live to get benched in the playoffs on that team if Robinson was healthy (or they dealt DDV/Hart for a center perhaps) since they have a glut of wings now

1. luxury tax / second apron implications.
2. Flexibility
2a. They can keep Randle if they want, possibly at a lower number than KAT. Or they can look to trade him (for "good enough" role players) if he shows good form in the season but isn't a great fit.
2b. They can let him opt-out and leave and look to build more efficiently around AntMan
3. With the emergence of Naz Reid as a key player for them it was Towns who became the odd man out.
4. They get a great contract in Donte (11.5M~ this season with under contract for a total of 3 seasons) who is a lethal sniper from 3 on great volume. Donte also is a major hustle guy and a very underrated defender.
5. They get a type of asset with the Detroit 1st rounder (even though it probably turns into two 2nds).
Essentially it's not about today/this season. It's about life in the new CBA and setting up the team with their young star AntMan going forward.
RIP Dikembe
Ya lil sad about Mutombo as it brought back old days memories, I still have some of his cards.
Dikembe always seemed like a likeable and cool dude. **** cancer.
The year was 1994.
The Denver Nuggets #8 seed beat the Sonics. Dikembe grabs the ball in total elation. Picture perfect moment.
The Nuggets rallied to tie the game and force overtime. The Nuggets would emerge with a 4-point victory by the score of 98–94, and became the first 8th-seeded team to beat a #1 seed. An on-court camera featured Mutombo, in jubilation on his back holding the ball after the buzzer.
Kid McMuffin was watching. Loving hoops. And was a huge fan of Mutombo.
Then they get down 0-3 vs the Utah Jazz and rally to get to a Game 7, but lose 91-81.
Kid McMuffin was sad.
But not as sad as Adult McMuffin today. Dikembe took way too soon. RIP
God just got the best shot blocker and 1990s-early 00s GOAT defender for his team in heaven.
we are so back
Knicks will be #1 Seed in East and Brunson will MVP.
I am speaking that into existence.
Prepare yourselves accordingly
We’re going to look back at this draft and realize that Zach Edey should’ve gone #1
Saw somewhere that there's actually a chance that OKC ends up with the #1 overall pick in the next draft? Apparently can swap with LAC and Houston? Can you imagine OKC adding Cooper Flagg?
