It's Fall Out, Boys
It's been a good summer with friends and family.
Even though I couldn't drive, I've had the support of a few very specia
The Bills need a Mercy Rule.
You guys think you'll get rid of me by not posting a link in the old thread when the seasons change. Ha, joke's on you, I'm here.
The world is nuts. I wonder if the VPs will be prepared sufficiently for tonight's debate.

And do people realize the VP candidates aren't "running" for anything?
I'm not being political, just critical.

still trying to decide if i'd rather be flotsam or jetsom
Just found out one of my professors in grad school died a few days ago. He was a brilliant guy and funny. Started me reading Foucault and Barthes and Derrida.
I guess now I can forgive him for that.

apologies in advance for a minor hijack
but you inspired me to reflect upon the instructors in my life
other than the apparent ones because ma and pa both had teaching certificates
there was a professor teaching architecture instrumental in my successful application to this particular program
attended his intro class the year before and got to know him fairly well
a brief obit from a princeton alumni magazine
and after it a little bit more background from other articles
Bill had a wide variety of life experience to share
with the utmost of all due respect, an ivy league forest gump if you will
Bill in the middle next to a heisman winner
Bill on the left next to walter o'mally, buckminster fuller to the right
as a student Bill designed a dome for dodger baseball in brooklyn
Dr McPhee in the phootball foto is writer John McPhee's father.
I think my PhD prof must've died. Another student of his, whom we used to meet with monthly before Lockdown, sent an email to us a couple of months ago, but only I replied. A true academic, attended Stoneyhurst, Alonzo Church was his academic grandfather, his office was fabulously untidy, taught me how to do math, forever a constructivist topologist, no joie de vivre.
When I started grad school, one much older student, Alice, gave me advice:
If you haven't read it twice, you haven't read it.
And if someone asks you if you've read something, the correct reply is "Not lately. Tell me about it."

Who do you guys like in the playoffs? I was all in on the Brew Crew but unfortunately they are out :( Now I guess I gotta root for San Diego since I used to live in SD and back then I had adopted them as my NL team. But other than than I'm just rooting for the dogs. Last thing I wanna see is Yankees/Dodgers. Screw them they been there plenty.
Who had 3 AL central teams in the mix? No wonder the White Sox sucked so bad the division was stacked! Or the division got to play the WS a lot 😀 The Sox beat Detroit 3 outta 4 to end the season. So if the Tigers win it all it is easy to assume if the Sox were in the playoffs they too would win it since they showed dominance over Detroit. Thats the only way I can think about it 😀
confident to say i have no emotional connection to any collection or clutch of major league baseball teams or easter eggs this playoff season since the orioles were ejected through the back door of the most local perineum
I like the Dodgers because of Mookie Betts. Still hate the Red Sox for letting him go.

Shohei Ohtani... because Japanese
Shoei because we are likely to never see another
I'm a big Braves (couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat) fan, so feel free to disregard this post, but I kinda like SD to win it all...
Shohei and whoever is playing the Yankees, that's who I'll root for. And KC, I guess. I have a friend in KC who's really excited about her team, so I'd like for her to have the experience Ranger's fans had last year.
Yes, this stuff happens to me, and I'm never sure why. My friend leaves a sweatshirt I left behind at his house a couple months ago at his sister's house.
Sister texts me a couple hours ago, tells me she has my sweatshirt, and asks me out to dinner.

nice
It's football season. I really can't bear the "If I'm the Buffalo Bills" crap. You're not. How difficult is it to say, "The Buffalo Bills should . . ."?
