Just started playing pot limit mixed games. I agree on the check but I'm curious on the draw which 2 cards you are throwing away and why and also why you wouldn't draw 3?

I think keeping the tens and drawing 3 is the play.

That is what I thought so wasn’t sure why he said draw 2

Because one of the tens is dead and I’d rather make aces up than some other two pair.

You definitely want to draw 3 here. Any two pair has a good chance of being the winner. And you have no clubs in your hand, so drawing 3 gives you a better shot at drawing two clubs, or some other sort of improvement, for the PLO half.

I would also want to bet this flop. Somebody might even fold a low flush, especially if they have nothing that good for draw. And the chances that somebody check-raises and has you in bad shape both ways seems rather unlikely. Build a pot with top set, and with what is often the current best draw hand, while also getting some folds and denying them their equity.
