**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.
Since we get questions on this every year...

With a SHEEP score of 7 (Breece Hall), and 8 different corrects submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 15 for this question.
Here are the scores after 4 questions!
The seven names in bold still have a perfect game going.
mattew88 reclaims the top spot, on the back of his second ace!
Two graduates of the Trollface Memorial Club, only two remain.
That's all for this week!
Enjoy the games this weekend, which kicks off with a battle for FIRST PLACE in the NFC SOUTH on Thursday!
We'll have the Question 5 Reveal next Tuesday, where it's all about your KICKAHHHHHHHHH! See you then.
Are any QBs going to have 3 300 yard games?
I think a few will get there. But Geno is the only QB with 2 so far this season. My selection is at 0 still haha.
https://www.footballdb.com/stats/300-yar...
We know Tua won't get there. Very unlikely anyone picked Dalton or Fields.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this, and in the NFL in 2024, I just don’t know.
We’ll see what the numbers look like by Week 7.
Questions with funky distributions aren’t necessarily a bad thing for the health of the contest, as long as there aren’t lots of them.
For example, the made playoffs to miss the playoff questions will have a massive SHEEP, because there’s only 14 candidate answers to pick from.
This is where I peak.
Kicker question is wrong, 100yd WR/300yd QB both have two more games left to hit the mark two more times. Rushing attempt, top-20 tackles, and 1k WR are all hurt.
Twas a fun four weeks.
How many points was Rashee going to be worth for the 1k receiving question before Kelce paid off Mahomes to intentionally throw an INT they murder him in cold blood?
Asking for a friend who is definitely not bitter.
I'm so ****ing pissed at the kicker question. I went ace hunting with what I assumed was impeccable logic. I neglected to note he had a bye week 5...
true ace hunters do not sort by bye
Who's here? It's time for the Question 5 Reveal!
5. Name a kicker with at least one made 50+ yard field goal by the end of Week 5.
Speaking of questions with funky distributions,
for this question, we had 37 correct answers, and 11 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
This question's most popular incorrect answer (though not the SHEEP) are a pair of answers played by 5 contestants, including yours truly. The Eagles' kicker Jake Elliott had a great season last year, going 30-32 on field goals, including 7 for 8 from 50+. But kicking is a notoriously noisy variance stat from year to year, and so far this year, his long is only 38. He's had one attempt from 50+, but missed it.

Also played by 5 players, our next incorrect is Jake Bates. The former XFL kicker parlayed a strong season into an NFL kicking gig with the Lions, where he's been perfect on field goals thus far. But he has no attempts yet from 50+ (or even 40+).

Our last remaining incorrect is an ace-hunter. The Colts' kicker Matt Gay has two attempts from 50+, and missed them both.

Here are the EIGHT correct answers that weren't played!
Chris Boswell, PIT, 5-6 from 50+, Long 57
Joey Slye, NE, 1-2, 63
Jason Sanders, MIA, 3-4, 56
Joshua Karty, LAR, 1-1, 52
Jason Myers, SEA, 2-4, 56
Daniel Carlson, LV, 3-4, 53
Blake Grupe, NO, 2-2, 57
Nick Folk, TEN, 3-3, 53
This question's SHEEP answer was played by 6 players. The Cowboys' second year kicker Brandon Aubrey took the league by storm in his rookie year least year, leading the league in points scored and making the All Pro team. This noted kicking cyborg is leading the league in points scored so far AGAIN this year, and is already 7 for 8 from 50+. His long is an unfathomable 65 yards.

Our next correct was played by 4 players. The Bengals' kicker Evan McPherson made a name for himself going perfect through the playoffs during Cincinnati's Super Bowl run, then struggled with the yips last season. The truth is somewhere in between, as this season he's 3-4 from 50+, with a long of 56.

Also played by 3 contestants, our next correct is the best kicker in NFL history, Justin Tucker. He's actually looked somewhat mortal lately, but still holds the best career field goal kicking percentage in NFL history. This year, he's missed twice from 50+, but made one from 56.
