Rice seems perfectly content to barely break even from poker. He will happily play 50 hours a week for zero profit, all the while thinking to himself what a genius he is for being in the top 1% of everything he does.

As long as he can eat for free at the Laurel Lounge he still figures he is coming out ahead. Add to that anything he can get from his comps etc, discounted weekly room rates and waived resort fees make him one very happy camper. The fact that he has been able to parlay his nomadic existence into YouTube income is the cherry on top.

Above all else, it's of paramount importance that Rice feels like he is his own boss and doing everything on his own terms. Pretending to be a poker pro is the perfect vehicle for that. The fact that none of his income is actually derived from playing poker anymore will not dampen his arrogance one bit.

The only thing I remember about the Flagstaff airport is that it was so small that it didn't have a tower. When you were ready to take off, you just announced it on the radio and hoped that if someone was landing they heard you.

Also LOL at his take that straddles doesent generate more action and bigger pots, Nomad claims that if people arent limping 3 they arent limping 6 or even 15.

I cannot think of a greater blessing than getting a losing player to quit and find a more fulfilling activity.

The Florida Van Nomad reports on the Hard Rock Florida Guitar Hotel which is basically a preview of what will replace the Mirage. He remenisces about living in a Yurt in the Florida swampland then finding a Hut in a grassland in Florida, then getting a Minivan then getting Hard Rock Icon tier and comped Guitar Hotel rooms. He seeks out a host but feels insecure being not a true high roller and instead just recycles his freeplay winings for tier points. Then he gets an email for a comped Hurricane Room and extra nights with waived resort fees. He reports he will seek out the brand of comforter and pillows to add to his Van bed to make a replica of the Hard Rock bed.

He gets Publix rotisserie chicken and ads this to rice from his Van rice cooker which does not need to be hauled into the room since the rice can be premade in the special Icon tier reserved parking level. Plus the passenger seat has been upgraded to a latrine. He further states that all the high end vehicles and pricey sports cars in the Icon reserved parking level contrast with his superior 20 year old Toyota Sienna Van which has cooking and toilet facilities.

Checking Into My Comped Hotel Room Looking Like A Hobo

In better news, today we learned he is going to play in Dallas. I actually can't wait to hear his reviews. I have a feeling he will hate it, find a bad game and say how dumb some of us who think Texas poker is great are.

Diesel loves college campuses. He needs to go back and get his PhD and teach. He can then avoid the real world till he drops. More importantly he can control the rubric.

Solid content, Nomad is breathing heavy as he was running a marathon. Yesterday I played at a game with like 6 empty seats. There were only 2 tables to choose from. Moral of the story: most 1-3 players are empty seaters.

Do you think the Troopers are capable of pulling in $100,000+ in annual revenue from their business as they scale up? If we want to get into profit from a nice round number of $100,000 in sales, I'm not sure exactly what that would amount to, but my guess is in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 after ingredients and capital costs, where the capital costs are spread out over the life of the machinery.

Sure but they're playing as a hobby. They're not delusional calling themselves poker pros while they live in poverty.
