*** October 2024 High Stakes Thread ***
Hello and welcome to the arena!
Previous High Stakes thread: *** September 2024 High Stakes Thread **...
We generally post ~200bb+ pots, but if there's an interesting hand/showdown, or if there's not much action feel free to post smaller ones.
Posting hands
Click on hand #number in replayer.
Copy text and remove ante part of first row in hh:
Poker Hand #72306164: Omaha Pot Limit (200/400 ante 80) 2023/04/12 15:51:58 GMT
Add - after parenthesis. Line should read:
Poker Hand #72306164: Omaha Pot Limit (200/400) - 2023/04/12 15:51:58 GMT
This works until someone has a 7 figure stack, then you need to edit any number over one mega.
paste hh https://pokeit.co/convert/
The converted hand will say it's from GG, you may edit this too.
For the OCD inclined, search and replace § with $.
Post your nice hand here!
♣:
Please use the following options for converting hands:
Converter from Pokeit https://pokeit.co/convert/ with wide variety of supported games, multiple hand conversion, etc.
Another converter: http://www.railhand.com
Just paste your hand history, convert, copy generated code and paste in this thread.
If you want to post 2-7 TD hands: http://www.feralcowpoker.com.
Set it to "Two Plus Two - textonly" output, and show results and player names.

Don't think many if any "challenges" work like that anymore and have not for years. Deal is likely just lets play these hours/days at these stakes until one quits. The whole idea of x amount of hands is dumb anyways. Pretty sure most people can get crossbooks in if they are dissatisfied with the stakes.
Berri what happened with getting the railbirds a 3betting hand? I suggest A422 single suited
Pleased to see Omaha action at these stakes.
Dirk Gerritse said in his stream this match is ongoing and Berri's the GOAT.
Doesn't look like much of a match as Berri is running good, playing solid in these hands which makes Sanita look like a maniac.
You can see an exploit from Sanita for better or worse he varies bet size based on hand strength in 3b pot with same board texture JT4(2). If Berri truly is the goat, that's bad.
You obviously dont know what you are taking about. This board plays the best with a 2 sizes strat.
AKJ4ds has good turn playabilty and keep dominated hands whereas TT33 unblock all sd and force the money in, well played by Sanita

Dirk Gerritse's greatest HU accomplishment is running up 1m stack vs Galfond.
losing it all back was pretty impressive as well
And he had the most rusty iteration of Phil Galfond coming back from retirement. Galfond OG on picking his opponents.
Galfond wasn't "rusty," he was playing a strategy with new elements that he arrived at after some poor solver usage. At the start of the challenge he was cbetting 1/4P with range no matter the texture when he 3bet and was bet/calling most bluff catchers when VV had rivered a boat or nutted hand that pipped him. Galfond was running badly for sure, especially in regards to non all-in river runouts, but he was playing badly as well compared to the HUPLO player he was "before solvers." When Phil got his head on straight and started actually playing a strong form of max exploit poker he turned it around and crushed the 2nd half of the challenge.
You can't really say that Phil in the first half and Phil in the second half were the same player, the overall strategies he played during those time periods were wildly different from each other. Phil went from a worse than -15evbb loser at the start to a greater than 15evbb winner at the end. If Phil had started out the challenge playing near his peak form from 2 years before the start of it VV would have likely bought out quite early and it would have been wise to do so as well.
