Trump said that if Biden won the stock market would crash. It's the highest it has ever been. Every prediction from the right for the last 4 years has been horribly and laughably wrong.

America is actually in a really solid place compared to the rest of the world on a lot of issues thanks to Biden's stewardship. Even this whole "we need to be producing the most electricity" thing is something that Biden is accomplishing that Trump could not. Bringing back manufacturing jobs and shoring up supply chains. Rallying the international community behind isolating China and Russia. Trump would basically hand over the West to Putin and Xi on a silver platter because of his backwards international relations policies. We need to strengthen NATO and democratic alliances, not trying to destroy them.

I'm not on board with every single Democratic policy, but I don't have to be to recognize who are better leaders domestically and on the world stage. It's not the guy that tried to steal an election because he was a sore loser, or who withheld aid from Ukraine because they wouldn't investigate his political rival.

Yeah and when Trump won everyone said the market would crash, the economy would crash and he would lead us into wars . Now under Biden the economy is picking up steam inflation is falling but Russia invaded Ukraine . Groceries are still 25% higher in the USA 37% in Canada .

If Trump wins the left will spout the same and if Kamala wins the right will say here comes communism . The reality is neither will care about the middle class . Kamala's goal will be to keep her rich donors happy and burn the Epstein list

agree with your post overall but curious on what is meant by this point. my understanding was us electricity generation has been flat for a decade and our global share of generation fell over that time. of course stats can be misleading

The sources of the electricity are quite important in my opinion. Coal is really easy to use but also inefficient. We’ve replaced a lot of our coal usage with natural gas under the Biden admin. I was scared for a while that he was going to be really bad on energy since he canceled the keystone pipeline, but thankfully he sees that need for energy independence, and we have been a net exporter of energy under Biden.

Another thing that has been in the works since last year is cutting down approval times for new energy projects as well as investing billions into new infrastructure. He also created a public-private partnership for this. In addition, he created a federal-state partnership for new power grids. As well he wants to update the grid for rural areas.

Now some of this stuff won’t come into effect until after he leaves office unfortunately, but the same can be said about Trump’s energy plans. He wants to approve new pipelines and drilling which is all fine and good but it won’t reach the 50% reduction in energy prices he is aiming for. US companies work on market forces so they actually start drilling less the less profitable it is. And many of the things he wants to improve takes years to come into effect. Even on coal, Trump talks about clean coal, but coal has been largely on the outs even during his presidency because of the lack of efficiency as I said earlier.

I also find it funny that Trump always blasts energy efficiency which is another way the Biden admin is improving energy prices for consumers which is more of a long term solution.
