2024 NFL Sunday Night Football season long squares pool

2024 NFL Sunday Night Football season long squares pool

Let's try this again shall we? Last year I had this concept, got started late, then had a health scare that derailed my ability to fulfill this contest.

Season long NFL Sunday night football squares pool details: The typical squares board, consisting of 100 squares. The final score of the 18 regular season Sunday night football games, as well as the first 2 playoff rounds, will be the games to be used to determine winners. Once the schedule is released, I will list the tentative games (as the NFL can flex games out of that spot). If games are flexed, I will update each week's official game at the beginning of the week. Payouts will be 5x the entry for each week. Randomization will be done in advance of the season starting, 10 times. This means each square grid will be used for 2 weeks. The board will consist of Home/Away teams for scoring purposes. Home across the top, Away down the side. The goal is to have a $20 pool, and a $100 pool. I am taking names only at this time. Once we get to 70 squares filled, I will start taking escrow. All squares must be escrowed in advance. If a board doesn't sell out, we will roll with blank squares so long as we get 70% coverage. If a blank square hits, that week's prize will roll to the following week. If the final game lands on a blank square, the prize would revert to the most recent winner.

Payouts will be on a weekly basis once the Sunday night football game has been finalized. Please let me know if you have any questions on this!

Interest list:

$20 squares ($100 payout per week on final score only):

cokeboy99: 5 squares

$100 squares ($500 payout per week on final score only):

cokeboy99: 2 squares

Week 6 ends with a score of Cincinnati (away team) 17, New York Giants (home team) 7.

7,7 is a square for Marknfw. Funds sent via paypal.

Good luck in week 7 everyone. Matchup will be announced later this week, and new board posted at the same time.

Nice! Thanks cokeguy! Freeroll activated.

congrats mark!

Had the Giants made the FG at the end, Tom Ames would have been our winner.

Unless they then went on to recover the ensuing onside kick, then score a td, and either tie with the pat or win/lose with a 2pt conversion.

But as far as known possibilities, the missed fg at the end meant mark won, rather than tom.

****ing kicker must have grown up a Cowboys fan. What an *******!

Have some pity on us Cowboys fans. :(

Meh, you'll end up getting Belichick out of it.

You guys aren't handcuffed or married to them. Free yourselves--at least until Jerruh is dropkicked through the final goalposts of life.

You will then be entertained by the Cowboys just as much as we are. We will be happy to share the joy with you. It may seem impossible to leave them temporarily, but you can make that choice and take that first step. There are many people who will support you in that decision. Good luck!

Oof

I suffered long enough as a Cubs fan before 2016, I can continue suffering as a Cowboys fan as long as it takes. I'm not one to quit or switch fandoms. Even if they do seem to suck the fun out of the sport.

LOL

I was almost certain it was going to be a pic of Earl mooning me.

You guys are doing it wrong. Pick a new team each year. And feel free to change teams in mid October after you get a good look. But you have to stick with that one for the rest of the year. No fair-weather fans allowed.

This is my plan for Post Cowboys Fandom. Just a matter of time.

fandom is not the same as trading defenses between fantasy football teams
ends to a mean are mean to the end

are there any local retirement communities that cater to like-minded old folk and elders jonesing for detox after riding a three decade high of aching from imminent swirving after jimmy johnson redirected much more than a troy ounce of uncut miami cocaine toward dallas in the mid-90s and his vice erased every verse of dignity Tom Landry ever created with Rodger Staubach

likely not worth refuting Leon Lett Nate Newton take the fall so Dion Sanders and Darren Woodson would only have to try to tackle secondary misdemeanor charges at best

and the actions of Barry Switzer land smack dab somewhere between curious and suspicious

It is now mid-October. There is no time like the present! I was on the Raiders until Pierce benched Minshew. I'm now on the Lions unless Minshew returns to action.

I always attribute my hatred of the Cowboys to Jerruh, but thinking about it now it may go back to 10 seconds of my life when I thought DD Lewis was probably going to kick my ass while tearing into a life-long friend of mine after my friend insulted Lewis by name outside a local beer joint. It turned out that they were friends and we all had a good laugh, but I was quite concerned for a few seconds.

I suspect there is more to this story and I think you should tell it.

Man, I'm not thinking hard enough to translate that

I've probably told this before on here somewhere, but:

In my late school years or sometime thereafter, I was visiting family in my hometown. I wandered outside the city limits to an after-hours beer joint which was notorious for the number of fights on weekends and bumped into my next-door neighbor growing up who was my best friend for a number of years. We were standing outside the front door of the place catching up when we noticed this pretty stout guy walking across the parking lot toward us. My buddy suddenly yells, "DD Lewis! You sorry son of a bitch!" My friend had always had a knack for getting us into trouble, but getting himself out of it. I just swallowed hard and thought, "Some things never change." The guy picked up his pace a bit, and then they started laughing and hugging.

I was really relieved. We talked a couple of minutes, then Lewis said he was supposed to meet someone inside and left us out there. Turned out they had become good friends at Cowbell U, and that Lewis was back in the area for something going on at Starkvegas that weekend.

My friend's dad owned the most successful beer joint in town. On Sundays, after he had worked late on Saturday, he usually sent his son to open the place up for him--starting when my friend was 11 or 12 y/o. (Yeah, an 11 or 12 y/o was selling beer to adults.) It wasn't long before I was helping him open the place up--and helping ourselves to draft beer. We just needed to be sure that one of the employees would warn us when his dad drove up to take over so that we could dump our plastic cups in the trash and exit with minimal contact. So much fun. The best years of my life!

Good bonus story.

Welcome to week 7! This week's Sunday night contest features the New York Jets (the away team) at the Pittsburgh Steelers (home team). The board is posted below. Good luck everyone!

Hoping 77 wins two weeks inna row. Again, wish we were doing quarters, my numbers are pretty good (maybe) for a full game board. 73, 74, 54 (meh), 36 and 77. Come on 77!

Do you promise that you have not conjured up this season's SB Squares Board here?

If this is directed at me, I make no promises. I might offer to take over, however, just to spite you. 😃
