Vice-President Kamala Harris
Probably requires her own thread at this moment, lock/delete etc if someone else wins the nom
Yeah, that's just nonsense.
She has already let Israel do whatever they want. Both she and Biden are responsible for the appalling atrocities continuing on a daily basis in Gaza.
They could stop it tomorrow if they wanted to.
Here's what a Muslim thinks about voting for Kamala over Trump.
It’s funny how trump vp has no praises for the accomplishments of trump administration and yet saying Harris was useless has a VP and simultaneously was responsible and participated for the Israel conflict .
I mean can’t you just pick a side ?
You can’t be betting on 1 side of a coin and expecting to win on both side of the coins .
“They can stop it tomorrow if they want to”
People say this but how exactly? Do you think that Israel will just stop the war tomorrow if US tells them to?
Nope all they could do is refuse to send them weapons which would only slow them down and if they did that all the countries looking to wipe Israel off the map would just be waiting .

I don’t want to derail this thread too much but what makes you think that Israel would have provided such humanitarian aid or just nuked Iran to the stone age if it wasn’t for US security assurances? As we’ve seen throughout the wars, the IDF is more than capable of holding its own even against multiple countries.
Anyway I digress, Trump calls himself Israel’s strongest supporter and basically said multiple times (as well as prominent Republicans) they don’t support a ceasefire and actually want to attack Iran even more. If it’s truly a policy you care about, even on that front where there is relative agreement Kamala is still better.

Absolutely.
If the US (seriously) threatened to stop supplying the bombs and financing Israel's military it would stop tomorrow. All it would take is one phone call.
Absolutely.

I don’t understand why everyone thinks this. What percentage of their military budget do you think the US is giving Israel? And much of that aid wasn’t even directly authorized by Biden, it passed through congress.
You’d have to do much more than cut off aid, you’d probably also have to do sanctions and other deterrence. Not going to happen without an act of congress.
By the way, are you aware Trump removed sanctions against settlers that Biden reinstated? Biden and Kamala have been way tougher on Israel, relatively speaking. Trump blasted Kamala for supposedly not wanting to meet Netanyahu.
Absolutely.

Nah !
Trump would never stop selling weapons to Israel to start with .
Israel could buy weapons elsewhere if needed to .
Again u take both sides simultaneously…..
Record military aid to Israel
Israel — a protege of the United States since its 1948 founding — is the biggest recipient of U.S. military aid in history, getting $251.2 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars since 1959, the report says.
Even so, the $17.9 billion spent since Oct. 7, 2023, in inflation-adjusted dollars, is by far the most military aid sent to Israel in one year. The U.S. committed to providing billions in military assistance to Israel and Egypt each year when they signed their 1979 U.S.-brokered peace treaty, and an agreement since the Obama administration set the annual amount for Israel at $3.8 billion through 2028.
The U.S. aid since the Gaza war started includes military financing, arms sales, at least $4.4 billion in drawdowns from U.S. stockpiles and hand-me-downs of used equipment.
Much of the U.S. weapons delivered in the year were munitions, from artillery shells to 2,000-pound bunker-busters and precision-guided bombs.
Expenditures range from $4 billion to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile defense systems to cash for rifles and jet fuel, the study says.
Unlike the United States’ publicly documented military aid to Ukraine, it was impossible to get the full details of what the U.S. has shipped Israel since last Oct. 7, so the $17.9 billion for the year is a partial figure, the researchers said.
They cited Biden administration “efforts to hide the full amounts of aid and types of systems through bureaucratic maneuvering.”
Funding for the key U.S. ally during a war that has exacted a heavy toll on civilians has divided Americans during the presidential campaign. But support for Israel has long carried weight in U.S. politics, and Biden said Friday that “no administration has helped Israel more than I have.”
Ok. And what exactly does that have to do with the claim that cutting aid to Israel will end the war?
Camela claims "we have a broken immagration system" when it was literally her and byden that caused it when on day one he signed executive orders to open up the boarder and reverse all of President Trump's policies which were first and foremost to protect americans. If anyone's not heard about all the illegals who are committing crimes and murders, please take your head out of the sand and understand what these puppets are being controlled to do to us and our normal way of life.
I hope some of the TDS sufferers are able to wake up and realize this is definitely 100% being done to hurt/transition us, and this administration has no regard or care for any of us or our lives (there are still people in NC that are cut off from civilization still not helped with no heat or supplies in this day and age, while we're literally sending billiins to other countries which is a big slap in the face to every american citizen, especially our homeless combat veterans.
Broken YouTube LinkThis is a good critique of Trump. And I really like the word entailments which I've never used before but I will use going forward when I can.
The argument fails however in the contrast to Kamala, in consideration what we know about her and the regime she represents. Both Trump and Harris put out rhetoric which is clearly in direct opposition to their actual policy aims which are easily inferred through their actions. To be clear, neither one of them has policy aims originating from themselves, d
trump increased defense spending bigly to 'completely rebuild the military' that apparently clinton and obama totally destroyed--a hell of a lot over the last 8yrs alone--nearly a T. And we were at war for every day of his term. It didn't get much airplay probably because it doesn't fit his storyline but I've seen at least one interview with him somewhat recently explaining his method for peace in Ukraine--give them tons of weapons lol. trump is all about big oil and the war machine despite the bs rhetoric for the base and whoever else falls for it. It doesn't really matter what the motivations are--vanity, money etc--the results are still the same. His defense spending increases will be stacking up for many years--ukraine/israel spending currently is pocket change in comparison.

I think we should establish that anyone not knowing the answer to this should hold off on having strong opinions on the general topic. Like if you are asking this question you need to back up and do some fundamental reading. I've got the book recommends for you.

Guy who just found out what a rhetorical question is

Profits for the defense and finance sectors will keep ratcheting up under either administration. That's the history and we can be certain that is the future. I agree Trump is going to do the bidding of the security state. So is Kamala. The only reason the deep state is against Trump is because they think he is a poor spokesman. He is undermining the magnanimous, politically correct façade of the war machine with his caveman-like, material focused justifications of aggression in foreign policy. But yeah, Boeing is winning this election no matter who wins the Whitehouse.
How dare you? Deuces is a (very stable) genius rhetorical question asker. His professor even told him so.
I am a genius. I only know this because CheckRaise is a genius and I'm obviously smarter than him. So by the transitive property of human labeling I'm also a genius. You might refer to me as "the greater genius" if you are mentioning me and Checkraise in the same paragraph.

Anyway, where have you been hiding? I miss your little daily dancing monkey act in the 9/11 thread, conspiratards explaining to everyone else how much smarter and more enlightened they are is surprisingly entertaining.
Why don't you try and use some logic to try and figure it out. I know logic is hard for you guys but I'm sure you can do it.
Again, there's no mechanistic path that conditioning aid to Israel would lead to them ending the war overnight. I know it's hard for isolationists to understand, but if America were to completely pull out of the world, that doesn't mean everything would be sunshine and rainbows. The US pulling support from Israel would lead to a situation where you would leave them isolated and paranoid, and it would signal to the world that the US will pull support from their longstanding allies at a moments notice, further degrading our deterrence capabilities and our ability to form strong alliances.
I could go on but the point is there's a lot of reason to believe that not only would this not have the desired effect, it would weaken the US's position on the global stage even more than it already has.
so what's the right wing(non Qanon) spin on the fox news interview? she clearly did better than trump has ever done even in a rightwing interview, so i'm curious to see what the derposphere has to say.
She didn't answer the questions. Kept deflecting and talking instead about how bad Trump was all the time.
Her responses on border security were pathetic.

Once again the bar was set very low for her. If I was to give her a number on 1-10 I’d say 6.5 but also agree that Brian James points are valid .
She did do better than I expected
Baier came out guns blazing. She did really well given the situation.
