Every player is an unrestricted free agent now and the league has no cap. Should be way easier for funded programs to just reload the top players who have already proven to be the best at CBB instead of throwing dice and money at overhyped freshmen who haven't played a single minute. A 5-star frosh is basically a developmental depth piece or a good get for the poors these days.

Damn RIP to a true legend Bill Walton. Dude was the only reason to tune in to PAC12 basketball for most of the last 10 years.

Literally a day after the last pac 12 event ever. Crazy. I always loved listening to him.

Coleman Hawkins a max contract free agent

plz plz plz w a cherry on top, take off for LA Hurley

As a fan of both UConn and the Celtics, this would be super annoying but I could never fault him if LA is gonna make him the highest paid coach in NBA history. His wife has been saying right along she wants to stay near her family on the east coast. We’ll see who wins that discussion.

Next seasons top 10 is loaded in my opinion. There's like a good 5+ teams who would be preseason #1 in most years. Seems like there's a good 20 or so teams who would be preseason top 10 teams most years. Portal has made the sport top heavy. I think next year is going to be the most fun this sport has been in years.

Kansas, Iowa State, Alabama, Tennessee, Gonzaga are all easily preseason #1 last year. UNC and Duke would easily have been top 3 last year in my opinion. NIL brought back guys like Mark Sears, Hunter Dickinson, RJ Davis, etc.

excellent MM news broke earlier today

Gonzaga to the Pac-"12". I guess they're prioritizing football now but I really hope they add St. Mary's and keep the best rivalry of the century going.

Man if you told me in early in March that 7 months later Calipari would be wearing red, and Rick Pitino would show up to Big Blue Madness getting cheered wearing blue...

All you had to do Cal was play Reed, Rob, and Reeves at the same time as much as possible.

(I'm not hating this timeline, just laughing at the absurdity of it. Pope has been A+ at the job since taking over. But offseason A+ doesn't matter compared to season grade)

I was skeptical of the hire at first but now I'm BUYING Coach Mark Pope after seeing some of the practice footage and interviews.

Memphis/UNC in a charity exhibition rn

The Heels have a lot of work ahead of them.

A lot for the Heels to build on.

fun exhibition. good opp to bed in the new players w RJ in street clothes

88.1 possessions

UNC's highest possession game last season was 84 possessions. Hubert really wants this team flying up and down the court this season. Cadeau will be driving that ship

Seems like bad timing.

meh, Dean retired on October 9

gg Tony Bennett. glad to have your shite offensive philosophy out of the ACC

I’m guessing UVA doesn’t have a Bill Guthridge in waiting.

I’m guessing UVA doesn’t have a Bill Guthridge in waiting.

fair but i wouldn't think he'd have no plan and leave UVa in a crazy lurch

more info i suppose in tmr's presser

sux Hubert wasn't able to stop that tweet from ever being posted
