Where to find 5 and 6 card PLO games

Hi guys,

I'm looking for good 5 and 6 card PLO cash games (preferably 6 cards), where can I find them in the world? I have played 6c in London but it seems it is the only place in the world where I can find it.

5 card in Maryland I think.

At MGM Oxon Hill, Maryland and Maryland Live in Hanover. Some 5 card PLO8 at MGM also. All the PLO in Maryland seems to be 5 card. Those games run almost all the time. They play 2-2 in Hanover and 1-2 in Oxon Hill. There is also a 5-5 game in Oxon Hill with many 5 figure stacks.

Cool, thanks guys. It seems like there is plenty of action for plo5, is there any for plo6 in the US?

I have never seen nor heard of a plo6 game in a casino. Not exactly my area of expertise though.

I also wouldn’t say there is plenty of plo5, it’s just each region seems to have a preference and maybe a couple or few have shifted towards 5 card. I think 4 card is still by far the majority.

Of all places in what's really an underperforming poker room IMO .. The Jack in Cincinnati, OH plays mostly PLO5. They had the stretch of PLO4 but apparently some key Players wanted to upgrade to 5-card. Some PLO4 still runs on weekends along side the PLO5.

Not sure the difference, but for basically the same population base (on the same river) Pittsburgh has way more public poker than Cincy. Could be home games and/or 'club' influence. GL

Anywhere in Maryland is generally 5 card.

Is 4 card PLO just not gambooly enough for some people?

Need to start playing 6 max, 6 card, double board, high/low. Have to pay time though because won’t get more than 3 hands per down. It will stop the silliness of running it twice at a 1-2 game.

6 card in Europe. 5 card in Maryland and florida

Whatever cardrooms those circuit tourneys happen to be that week?

Hollywood St. Louis runs a RxRxR on Fri/Sat when the Players show up .. PLO4 x PLO-bomb x Big O. Last weekend there were multiple 10k stacks by 10-11pm on Friday night. GL

They play a lot of PLO 5 card in Montreal at Playground.

They have four card PLO at horseshoe some days and at Perryville some days each week. Also four card in Charlestown on Friday (I know not MD but sharing for completeness).

The pot limit Big O no longer exists, it is now 10-20 limit with a half kill. Other difference is both are five bring in (Live has an automatic 5 dollar button straddle).

Might not be what you're seeking, but PLO 4/5/6 tournaments are a regular fixture at GUPKT events (Grosvenor UK Poker Tour).

Sadly there's usually only just one per week.

I live in an area where 4 Card PLO is the only PLO game spread. Wouldn't adding a fifth card make the game faver the nut puddlers and generally tighten up the game once players get a clue?

i play in both (4 and 5 card), and my observation is, that 5card plays way tighter than people think (if folks know what they are doing), and at the same time the fish get eaten up more quickly (bc they don't understand it)

This is completely right yet people think the opposite. Unfortunately now it is what recs want to play so it is totally entrenched and isn’t going back. Your edge in these games now is mostly preflop hand selection and self control as even bad players know not to stack off too light (or if they don’t they don’t win ever and quit playing because of that). So they just short stack and aren’t at a huge disadvantage because there won’t be as much post flop play.
