In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and diff
My SIL works with yarn and wool a ton, and has crocheted us stuff basically every Christmas. Probably should’ve come to me! Haha

I think I know what this is supposed to be, but I can't think of the word atm. Hopefully it comes to me at some point.
I felt pretty good here as the initial reaction to the clue says a lot
Was a little worried there may be some tale of two cities connection or something but once you said that it just seemed a question of digging through the memory bank for this french sounding word

Not sure how long crochet would've taken to get without that specific combo...that's gotta be the hardest word so far.
Is passing an option in this game at all?
not really; I mean if you pass we just do another clue so you may as well guess something just to get a % closeness
but you could bold pass and we'd say that's your guess and move to next card, so I guess it technically is an option
no benefit tho here as we had nothing to help make it easier for you; prolly woulda gone wool or something or maybe weave to let you know it's definitely about knitting/weaving and not clothes, but we already knew you knew that, so really no point...once you knew it you had to just wait until remembered in this spot, so you did it right (not that you knew for sure we didn't have another clue to help, but if it was the word you were thinking of, then you knew we couldn't really help you think of the word most likely)
What I mean is can you pass to get a new word?

Yeah, just in rare cases where there may be a word you don't know or can't remember, it would be pretty silly to just plow through all the cards with no way of getting it. That may never happen, but after this turn I could see it being a possibility.

T8 could bink or it could go very sideways if it's what I think. But if it fails then o4 should get them back on track

If I was a guesser on crochet or sabre I could see not getting it after 20 clues
I'm wondering if it's the same t8 I'm thinking of...probably? A little obscure but once clued if they know it should be an auto get?

I'm guessing it's perfume. Could also be fragrance or something similar, but if they expect this to bink then I think it must be perfume.
Other clues are odor/smell obv.
