NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA

NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA

Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!

A lot happened while you were away:

Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC

The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship

The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.

FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents

Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents

LSU and USC play in Vegas!

Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!

Texas at Michigan!

Alabama at Wisconsin!

Notre Dame at ATM!

Clemson vs Georgia!

And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:

Texas @ ATM is back!

Texas vs Georgia

Oregon vs Ohio State

USC @ Michigan

USC vs Penn State

And then the bizarre:

UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game

Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason

Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!

Let's get it on!

Ole Miss' team doctor collapsed on the sideline. Fortunately walking off.

How weird.

What the hell is this sideline penalty they've called twice in this Nebraska game that doesn't have yards attached? I've never seen it before.

That's it Ohio State fans.... throw water bottles everywhere and see if you can get the call overturned. Heck it worked once before!!

Was OU's strategy to call a pass play and then have their QB sacked about 6 times in row???

Raiola is trying to impersonate Mahomes so much, he's even trying to match his statlines from this year.

WTF was that playcalling. Let's go Screen-Screen-Deep pass/INT to finish it off.

If it was, the execution was flawless.

eta: and the onslaught continues

Oregon has taken their opening drive to pay dirt in every game this season

BYU is fun

undefeated, ranked #11, on the road, already winning 7-0

goes for it on 4th and 2 in their own territory, gets it, then gets held to a FG attempt and fakes it

stepping on the gas, love it

Vandy opens with a Ewers popup pick.

If it's happening, this is how it would start...

Diego Pavia anytime TD scorer! Boom!

1. Vanderbilt

damn, vandy ran an awesome play on 4th and 1 deep in their own territory and it got called back

Oregon is a machine

lol UCF QB absolutely runs over BYU LB and then stands over him and talks **** and gets an unsportsmanlike

Right near the goal line too

Quick update: Jackson looks pretty bad and the offense has been anemic. IU is in big trouble today

Apologies to RedYes, I drastically underestimated how bad Washington's coaching staff is. Woof.

In other news, get shucked OSU

👍
yes, and 95% new starters playing for those coaches

Oregon is a machine

i've seen every game oregon's played since 1991, and this is by far their most skilled and athletic team across the board with depth.
TE 18 Sadiq is a freaq from idaho, invest in his futures if you can
and right as i was typing this Gabriel has his passing elbow sandwiched between two helmets. keep an eye on that too.

Saw a Dillon Gabriel stat a couple weeks ago where he had a bunch of games with 2 TDs throwing + 1 running TD. He did it again today. Guy is just a weapon at QB.

pUt In ArCh!!

For a moment, I thought ILP was posting. 😃

The worst part about Michigan being meh is how little ILP posts we get anymore. Make CFB threads great again!

TCU/Tech and Baylor/OSU bringing the fireworks

understandable, but i'm not about to start sorting by season weekend quarter down and time until the playclock resets like others might be prone to

TTEch's qb should be NIL-fired for that piss poor 3rd and 10.

17 seconds, no timeouts, needing 50 yard, he takes off running 7 yards and doesn't even get out of bounds.

UTSA was up 42-17 with 5 mins left in the third lol
