POG Politics Thread Version 3
Come on in! Since Dustin is taking his ball and going home, it's time to start a new politics thread.
guy in my poker game said "trump is a great American. musk is a great human"
Because of Oprah's strong Biden and now Harris endorsements/campaigning.
Dr. Phil is part of the Oprah media conglomerate.
I just tried this on Youtube... The only way I was able to find it was by searching for the Joe Rogan Experience then clicking on the available podcasts. 34 million views but won't come up in search... smh

that's ****ed up. but media is completely filtered anyway, owned by the wealthy.
if people were truly able to consume whatever media unfiltered, there would be a revolution in less than a week
Two veteran journalists at the L.A. Times, Robert Greene and Karin Klein, resigned in protest, as did editorials editor Mariel Garza, who wrote, “How could we spend eight years railing against Trump and the danger his leadership poses to the country and then fail to endorse the perfectly decent Democrat challenger — who we previously endorsed for the U.S. Senate?”
lmao
Win-win, Bezos loses a bunch of money and a bunch of journos will probably have to learn to code.

I see youtube has fixed it. The video somehow got flagged as spam...
All the other Rogan videos were fine.
I am no fan of Tucker Carlson, but I did enjoy his response:
He's not a nazi. He's loved by nazis, and he admires nazis, and he hired nazis, and he uses the same themes as nazis,
but he's not a nazi.
Human:
Grab them by the pussy
When your rich you can do what you want to them
Adjudicated rapist
long-time Epstein associate
Business:
Failed hotels
Failed casinos
Failed retail brands
Short-lived tv show that was at best a spoof of itself
Political:
Attempted a coup on national television
Sought military deployment against protesters
Advocated for police violence
Personal:
Former associates now openly warn against him
Ruined lives and careers of discarded sycophants
but - liberal tears [ * ].
works for us?
Obviously he also absconded with national secrets to the same place he hosted foreign dignitaries, destabilized continental Europe, absolved Iran of its nuclear transparency agreement, and actively suppressed remediation of the biggest global pandemic in at least a century.
But I mean, have you seen the price of bread these days??
didn't he tell suggest people ingest bleach or ask about the viability of swallowing UV lights?
this is the guy that half the country thinks should be running country's day-to-day??
This entire campaign he has basically said only three things: (1) illegal immigrants are destroying america; (2) he is so persecuted; and (3) he can fix everything.
I am genuinely at a loss for why he has more than like 20% "would vote" opinion.
In all seriousness, can someone please explain what I am missing?
He is super entertaining at his rallies. He puts on a show. He's likeable.
He is portrayed as the anti-old school anti-government guy.
People are pissed off over illegal immigration. That inflation has wiped out 33% of peoples buying power.
That the Democrats pushed Biden as their candidate knowing he was completely unqualified. Then they "appointed" Harris as his unvoted for successor. Harris is horrible at public speaking and can't express coherent thoughts. She brings nothing to the table except being female and a person of color.
LMAO at a Trump voter saying that Kamala "can't express coherent thoughts".
Trump went on Rogan for 3 hours and did great. And Rogan is a left-leaning centrist.
Harris can't explain a position without a teleprompter.
BTW, don't look at me as some giant Trump supporter. I would vote for almost any of the other Republicans that ran this election over him.
I made it like 45 seconds into a clip from that interview and Trump's seemingly endless stream of asides made me have to cut it off. My understanding is that it was all like that.

Is illegal immigration really a problem faced by people in PA?
. There is a drop in 2020, 2021, but then it picks back up again in 2022 and in 2023, trending towards pre-pandemic recovery. Inflation, felt by families, has actually diminished over the past two years.I hear these talking points, but I don't think people are actually experiencing these dangers, which has me begging the question again - why are people in PA responding to immigration and inflation if neither things are actually affecting them?
I am terrified to conclude that people actually want the fascism, and so I'm trying really hard not to, but I do need more help.

Republicans are SO MAD they don't get to pick the Democratic candidate. "We were beating the other guy! Who voted for this??"
I am going to refrain from commenting on the rest of that paragraph because I want to maintain a level of civility.
