Both sides aren't the same, but they both suck - at least a lot of the time. I'm not in love with both sidesing for the sake of it, but the anti-both-sidesing mentality is at least as bad imo. Of course no one controls anyone else's keyboards around here, but it mostly strikes me as a demand for loyalty.
Loyalty to who? Certainly not to the Democratic party. I have never thought of you as loyal to the Democratic party, which of course is perfectly fine.

Ah but it’s ok for mb to call democrats “dumbocrats” implying everyone that votes for them is dumb? you only care when the resident populist leftists are getting insulted. just like you let victor run around and call everyone a fan of genocide. as long as insults are kept cryptic on this forum, no problem. but when someone intentionally misreads what I say and calls me dumb for the opinion I don’t have, you’re silent? he has lied about everything I have said in this thread, am I supposed to tolerate it? lol

The "you're both sidesing" attack, from liberals/dems, is generally a suggesting that criticizing dems or liberals is aiding and abetting Republicans/Trump. You disagree with that? So, sorta the Democratic Party, but more broadly some idea of the everyone to the left of Republicans.

I mean, bro, you just need to get better at insulting people. It's a bit of an art. Took me, like, a couple of dozen bans, but I'm not the fastest learner, clearly.
I know I'm not supposed to be responding to check, and maybe responding is ok if it's not fighting, which this isn't...but I vote for dumbocrats all the time. I hope at least people in swing states vote for Harris. Lesser of two evils is a perfectly cromulent rationale.

This is a politics forum. You can insult the parties. You can’t repeatedly call a poster a loser etc.
You do not have to “tolerate” anything, but you are responsible for processing your big emotions like an adult in these debates.

the simple concept is that so long as its brown people or Russians being killed then there is no amount that you wont support.
Unless there is a political party called “you” I’m pretty sure he’s saying that someone on the forum supports killing any number of brown people or russians

Criticizing Democrats may or may not benefit Republicans, but that isn't a reason in and of itself to avoid criticizing the Democratic party. That wasn't my point.
My point was that this presidential election features one candidate whose authoritarian and anti-democratic instincts are much, much more pronounced than the other candidate's authoritarian and anti-democratic instincts. I understand that Victor and Luciom very much disagree with me on that point, and maybe you do as well, but that's what I believe. And because that's what I believe, I tend to retch in response to statements that imply an equivalence with respect to that specific characteristic.

Not sure if it was more insulting than it was dumb, since that was directed at me and Victor is fully aware of the fact that I'm Russian. So, I mean, there's at least one Russian I probably don't want to see killed, likely quite a few more.
