Trossard should probably only ever be a substitute, which he is very good at.
To be fair Odegaard would be massively missed by literally any team, elite creative CAMs don't grow on trees. Like when Maddison got injured for us last year that was the start of the downfall.

Pretty much everytime I watch Martinelli these days I’m reminded of Michael Owen’s opinion that you don’t even need to be very good anymore to be a PL footballer…you mainly just need to be able to run. I think there’s a lot of truth to that.

Players these days are SO MUCH BETTER than in Owen's day. Of course they are, they've had 20 years of knowledge and science to learn from. Not saying they're any more naturally talented, but the best teams now would absolutely twat the best teams then.

mostly because i think the players are basically comparable, but also because the best teams of 20 years ago were on PEDs and i assume that's been mostly cleaned up
