Day 2

I sleep rather poorly and hit the floor with less than 6 hrs sleep. I reason I've got plenty of time to nap during the day.

After this hit, I move to 10 lines.

I played pretty conservatively and decided to move to spin up a couple k.

Smashed this one on my first real draw on the all-important center line. One kicker and the case ace, IN THE RIGHT SPOT = 3 paying lines.

I'm now well up for the trip. NOW, I'm looking at a real shot at a winner!

Ended up giving back ?4k before breakfast. Still up 20k for the day! We head to Jardin where I order the steak and eggs since they were awesome last time. Forgot pics obv.

D and I head to craps afterwards, and it's terrible. Down a few k from that session. Back to VP.

Still pretty terrible. Going through a cold patch right now. I move over to spin and it's bad, and I soon find myself using up free credit.

I use 1.5k free credit and you can see the results, abysmal payback, ~50%. I donk that off ultrafast and head up to take a nap. I've given back at least 6k to the machines after breakfast. I want to say I'm up ~ 10k for the day at this point.

View from the 6th floor. It's not amazing, but I don't really care about views. One dealt royal or quad aces would make up for a lack of view very nicely...

After my nap, I get ready for the slot tournament. D and I are going to spend a lot of time walking back and forth between Wynn and Encore these next 24hrs...

Oktoberfest theme. They engraved names on these mugs. I ended up getting three (free) for my kids and wife. Cool concept, but the actual engraving was so small and shallow you can barely see the names. Oh well.

D is our leadoff hitter and puts up a decent score. I go next and post absolute trash. We had already decided that whoever posted the better score would take the third round, so D goes... and gets 75k. That's solid, in my experience an average of 80-85k is needed to reach the podium. So, we could be doing better, but 75k certainly is better than nothing.

We're all hope going into the bonus 4th rd. We've got about an hr to kill, so of course we head out of the tournament, play craps, and lose more money. Argh so annoying. This is how they get you. Back for the bonus rd!

Welp. OK, we know we're not binking the free credit tournament. There's an outside chance of top 1/2, but zero chance of podium. We grab our dinner, which is the free food.

Schnitzel, cod, potatoes, roast beef... solid 7/10 for free food.

The host round to determine the amount of free credit we will receive as a gift is coming up. Initially D and I were planning on watching, but at this point I don't really care, it won't make a difference in the outcome... meh F it let's hit the strip early!

Our first stop is the Palazzo. D and I decide not to bet the field at every casino bc it'll be too much trouble to constantly find a game, make one bet then hopefully win but have to find the cage, rinse, repeat. So, we decide to play craps at two spots- Venetian and Bellagio. We've decided on these spots bc a) I love the Venetian's chips, always have, b) love the Bellagio's chips, always have, and c) you can buy the 5 and 9 at Bellagio which cuts the house edge in half. From a comp perspective, I shouldn't be giving action to another casino, but D is an MGM member... so we'll just play on his card and maybe build some future comp for one of the many good restaurants at the MGM properties.

We're in for 5k, but we're not going to bet huge and only give it 8 shooters no matter what.

Out for 4.5k. That's acceptable.

We keep walking South. The weather is perfect.

Kinda sad to see the Mirage like this.

Rest of Day 2- weird, I'm still getting a max upload size "limited" to 10MB message. Is that per day? Clearly not per post. Doesn't make any sense per thread. MODS- any ideas? I'll wait until tomorrow and try to post again. Sorry folks.

Yeah. As much as I love this thread, I ain't got time to contribute to 1600+ posts to get to Day 2 of this trip 😉

I guess my settings are different. We're on page 34 now, for me. Which seems like a godsend in this thread because scrolling through even more images seems rough.

I'm on 100 posts/page. It works great for me everywhere except sometimes on Leon's thread. When it chokes on all the pics, I just open Leon's thread in a separate tab and continue on about my other 2+2 business until I come back later to find Leon's thread ready for reading.

Just do whatever works for you of course.

Just tried to start a new thread and upload one pic... couldn't do it. Max upload size 10mb. So now I'm thinking that's lifetime or over the course of a certain amount of posts.

I don't want this thread to die, but this is kind of frustrating and I don't feel like investing too much energy into figuring out what is happening. I'm officially requesting help from a mod (or anyone, really) who either knows what's going on, has a solution, or both. Thanks! :(

If you are doing this from a laptop or PC or something similar then I would suggest to check the file sizes, they could very well be over 10mb each. In case they are then you can usually decompress them by sending them through Facebook messenger or Whatsapp or similar app and downloading them again from there, takes like two seconds.

I almost did that, but didn't want to get in trouble 😉 Wish I had an answer. I hope it's something simple.

I checked a couple pictures from the last update and they're 6.6MB each so it seems like some kind of aggregate and/or cumulative cap. Or maybe hero won a ton and splurged on a new phone/camera with even better resolution.

Please don't reduce the image quality leon.

Interesting, that could be the answer. Same phone for all the pics, but some of the ones I'm trying to upload are zoomed out with a ton of "image" in them, so maybe that's it? Knowing that some of the pics are close to 10mb a piece makes that seem likely.
