Kamala ran the least identity-politics focused campaign since Obama 2012. She actively refused to attack Trump on him calling her fake black. She had white dudes for Kamala which was the first time in a while of white men being allowed to be white men without apology. She moderated on the border, trans rights, I/P conflict, spoke strongly about small businesses, said Americans are fundamentally not racist, disagreed with Biden calling Trump supporters garbage, and I can keep going.

As I say, I find it hard to believe that he's doing it on purpose rather than just being a moron and a demented old man, but I remain open minded if there's evidence to the contrary.

You would have to be a complete moron to bet on an event that is four years away. There is no way you could have an edge big enough to justify tying up the money. And the odds aren't going to move around enough in the next two years to make trading in and out worth the candle.

I just don't see why the prices would move much, even if there is moderate liquidity. And if the market is thin, you will just be sitting there with your thumb up your ass staring at paper profit or loss that you can't monetize.

I disagree with some things. I think Obama's improvement of our HC system helped his popularity. It wasn't much, but it was a concrete reason to vote for him, if you gained HC. You are vastly overestimating how many people would be able to work out how many millions go into a trillion if you asked them on the spot and they had to work it out in their head.

In that case why are people talking about Haitian migrants who have TPS or others who came in through both illegal and legal ports of entry applying for asylum.
Just remember the Cuban and Venezuelan vote, which can skew Rep, usually came through illegal ports of entry or they came in through means by which they weren’t fully transparent with why they want to enter the country.
Furthermore like I said, amnesty is how a lot of people got their status, and that amnesty (under Reagan) was for illegal immigrants.
So yeah for many we’re talking about the exact same circumstances of the illegal immigrants and refugees that Trump is directly speaking out against. We haven’t even touched on how many of them potentially are anchor babies or their parents/grandparents have questionable status through some other means. So it’s very much a case of them having already skipped the line of people who were trying to go through the regular order of citizenship.
