I mean, the alternative was a representative that was 'installed', and had never held a position in their ENTIRE ADULT LIFE in the private sector... instead being paid by the dime of the constituencies that they purportedly represented as 'We'.
The one who Slept their way into a position of responsibility with Willie Brown and never really did any of the hard work in that position... bringing to trial only 8 cases in their entire career.
The one that put people into jail merely on formalities of governmental over reach
The one who put people in prison for crimes of drugs that are now legal
The one who allowed one the largest populous states of our union to be overrun by criminality
The one who helped a governorship to go down a path of idiotic Governmental overreach and the Ideology of a Dictatorship in our fine Republic of states
The people didn't vote for a pole cat... they voted against a Village Idiot and Mental Nincompoop. A veil and puppet for the Svengali establishment of the industrial military complex and big pharma.

The idiot lying conman that just got elected tried to squeeze a foreign leader with congress approved aid for dirt on a political opponent, then literally tried to overturn an election and upend the democracy our country is based on, not to mention he can't open his mouth without lying and anyone that voted for one of the most immoral humans on the planet is either not paying attention or stupid or just a horrible human being.

I just sat through a one and a half hour zoom department meeting, and after the election this week, I was considering drinking alone.

Me too. Very eloquently stated and really only scratched the surface. Didn't really even get into policy where the differences are stark. And policy not personality is what is really important. I didn't wear a US military uniform for a good portion of my life so we could have wide open borders while being run by a faceless nameless bureauocracy that is pushing us toward WWIII.
BTW, why do British jackets like Balfours zip on the wrong side? Is this some weird British thing.

Well? Only on my first beer but unlike many my drinking will be a celebration rather than woe is me. I know you disagree but I feel as the events of this week have lifted a great weight I have felt about the decline of our country. But enough about the election I am glad its over.
My topic is cargo pants/shorts. What's the verdict? I basically have two uniforms. Shorts and a t-shirt in the summer and jeans and a t-shirt in the winter. But this summer I made the shift ro cargo shorts and love them. It's the damn cellphone. So much more comfortable in one of the cargo pockets than a side pocket. So this winter I am ditching th jeans for cargo pants. I kinda think cargos look out of place often. But those pockets are so great for the cellphone I think I am 100% cargo now.

I will say that I am mortified and ashamed that our country has chosen that....man. I thought America was better than this, but apparently, I was wrong.
Me too. I detest Trump. After he was elected the first time, I gave the Dems 2 years to figure out what they did wrong and correct it. Instead, they labeled Trump voters as racists and then repeated their mistake.
I will always be grateful to Biden for being the first American President in 20 years to have the balls to get us out of Afghanistan. Letting a bunch of **** Republicans label him as a warmonger illustrates what a bunch of pussies the Democrats have become.

But it's absolutely not about policy because there's a buttload of politicians out there that would have put forth policies that trumpers claim they are for, and they aren't utterly devoid of any morals. Plus his only policy is himself. He could care less about this country other than how he can do things to get more power and line his pockets. Its a cult of personality, or maybe just a cult.

We make a terrible mistake when we label Trump voters as idiots. 70 million people voted for him, and although I was not one of them, and they aren't idiots. Democrats make a terrible mistake by labelling fellow Americans as idiots, just as Republicans do when they label everyone from the coast as cultural elites.
Still, I want a president who is a smarter and better person than I am.
I've had a really bad day in a really bad month. Unrelated to that I stopped posting in the politics forum because it just makes me angry, as does turning on the news and this was the only place that was politics free but it isn't apparently. And I absolutely believe there are 70 million stupid bad people in this country and we have the leader to prove it. Anyway, I'm outta here until we decide to get back to movies and such again.
