I'm here for a different kind of argument. Just say no to cargo shorts. It seems "stylish" cargo pants are making a comeback but not for utilitarian reasons.

No man looks presentable in cargo shorts. No one. If you need to carry a bunch of stuff, use a bag of some sort or a small backpack. But never cargo shorts.

Will give you a pass on cargo pants.

It won't last long. But sometimes it's good to let off a little steam. I don't expect full blown arguments. Unless it's about cargo shorts, then it's gloves off.

I actually tried the "fanny pack" but it seems douchier than cargo pants/shorts. It is also not as comfortable. I blame it all on cellphones. If I didn't need to carry one my life would be better.

Fanny pack worse than cargo shorts. Well, maybe not. I have a smallish cell phone that fits in my back pocket. I don't like the bigger ones, and I don't use a case. Makes life easier.

I was a very late cellphone adopter and then I used a flip phone for the longest time. Smart phones are just too damn big for the most part.

I didn't get a smartphone until about ten years ago when I became the department chair. We had over fifty faculty members, and it was easier to text them than call. Besides, I didn't have to write down phone numbers.

I know exactly one cell phone number besides my own. My daughter's and only because my wife had the number before my daughter.

Years ago, a woman I went to grad school with asked me for my phone number. I didn't know it. I lived alone and never had the occasion to call myself.

I kinda agree? I have worn cargo shorts on and off for years because I am an avid hiker and they make more sense when I take one of my National Park trips. I am new however to cargo pants. They seem sorta wrong to me but the cargo pocket for a cellphone has me sold. Only time I ever wore them before was for flights to Vegas because I bring 2 wallets and need the secure room for that.

I don't think I've ever gotten one. Maybe we should address both those issues.

I think grasshoppers have ice cream? Too lazy to look.

I am 4 beers and a G 'n T deep right now. There is a very good chance I polish off a pint of Talenti Salted Caramel Layered before the night is done.

billions don't happen as a result of compassion and why should the rest of us care if their net worth drops into the high hundred millions
fair proportionate share for all

I'm still against them. And then have moved back to where I come from four years ago.

i think of cargo as the short with bulky patches sewn on
other apparrel incorporates similar storage per yard of fabric housed in a much more tailored and desecrete manor

Explain? The cargo pockets are awesome. What doesn't have the cargo pocket that is as comfortable for storing an oversized smartphone?

Not gonna lie. I did do that pint of Talenti. Stopped drinking though. It's for the best 😀 Still rather buzzed though, hence the frequency of my posting!
