Trump 2nd term prediction thread

Trump 2nd term prediction thread

So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.

Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.

A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

RFK dropping more truth bombs.

RFK Jr: "Trusting the experts is a function of religion and totalitarianism... In democracy, we question everybody."

I think with his climate-change denying Trump will inspire a new type of eco-terrorism.

Which will clarify how "moral" climate change porn is

Presumably he wouldn't mind a lay person performing his next medical procedure?

There's no doubt there's climate change as there's been throughout the history of our planet but the question is are we as a species responsible for it or is it cyclical and beyond our control?

Since all the planets in our solar system are also going through a heating up stage right now, and since their vehicles up there are using a zero point energy propulsion system [hypothetically of course 😉], I would lean towards the sun being the biggest culprit of "climate change" than us stone agers driving a gasoline powered car. President Trump understands this.

I think he's referring more to the blind trust in "experts" that people showed during covid. Many of whom proved to be disastrously wrong. I assume he would verify that an expert is indeed trustworthy before allowing one to perform a procedure on himself.

Logic is hard for you guys apparently.

I haven't really been following his nonsense. that closely, but I can see you're a big fan.

I guess this isn't relevant either?

It doesn't matter what evidence you present to them. They will take a dump in the thread and strut around as if they won.

RFK has sprouted a lot of nonsense in his life, both decades ago and recently (afterall he as a democract "champion of the environment", hard to find any who isn't a complete charlatan), but he is 100% correct that we shouldn't trust experts just because of credential, that it is disastrous to try to claim we should, and moreover given that there isn't consensus among experts about most relevant topics today (including HOW to tackle climate change, or how to manage covid) , it is basically fraud to claim "science says X".

Yes, we should have people like you and RFK question experts, because, you know, you both sound like intelligent, balanced people who understand science and know what you're talking about, and not like dumbass wacko hyper partisan nutjobs at all.

Demonstrating Trump-like levels of scientific literacy here, congrats. Zero point energy propulsion system, great stuff. Is that the same energy source we use for the space lasers?

I'll try to explain this in terms a 6 year old can understand, but let me know if you need me to go lower. If you just paid 20k for a new roof and it starts leaking the day after the roofers finish work, is the "biggest culprit" of that the roofers, or is it rain? Take your time.

Not that I'm a big fan of traditional vaccines, but by definition, the covid shot wasn't a traditional vax it was a new mRNA bio technology that was being forced on the world.

the roofers

Excellent, making good progress. Now have a think about how the same reasoning might apply to your theory that the sun is the "biggest culprit" of climate change. It take a little bit more abstract thinking this time, but not too much, and I have great confidence that you can pull it off.

Hint: the sun does indeed provide the Earth with most of its (the Earth's) energy, much in the same way that the rain provides all the water your roof needs to leak.

I don't see a question or what you're point is. I said the other planets are also heating up, which would mean gas engines (or "fossil fuels" as you were taught to call it) aren't the culprit to global warming since the other planets are also heating up. DUCY?

How does this work in practice. An orthopedic surgeon tells me that I have a torn ligament in my knee and that I need surgery. I have confirmed that my surgeon has a medical degree, works at a good hospital, and has a good reputation. We know that those steps aren't sufficient to assure trustworthiness from your perspective because plenty of people who satisfied those criteria were recommending vaccines, social distancing, etc. during COVID.

What is the next step in assuring trustworthiness? Sure, I could assess trustworthiness based on whether the surgeon's advice aligns with my gut feelings, but that doesn't seem like a reliable method.

All of the that satisfied those criteria were recommending covid vaccines and social distancing during covid, and still recommend vaccines now. The qualified, good reputation exceptions to that were and are VANISHINGLY rare, but amplified by the nutjobs and bolstered by the unqualified/horrific reputations.

Who told you the other planets are heating up? Actually, I don't care who told you, it's not true. For a start, even if we currently have a method of measuring surface temperature on other planets to within 1 or 2 degrees, we certainly haven't had this method for anywhere near long enough to make such a claim. It's simply made up.

Pretty easy to arrive at completely incorrect conclusions when you simply take whatever you read on social media and conspiracy sites as fact. And what, you think everybody else had this same information about the other planets heating up, but you're the only one smart enough to make this logical leap that anthropogenic climate change is not real?

As best I can tell, this assertion is complete garbage science, which is of course what I expect from you. Data on exact temperatures on other planets over the last several decades is scant. Based on limited data we have, it appears that some planets likely are warming, and others are not. The sun is not giving off more heat than it did 25 years ago.

I Hope next Time rfk needs a surgery/medical appointment he will go see a plumber for the jobs …

HIs the eponym of why government are so inefficient and take so many bad decisions.

Funny tho in the private sector experts have all the credibility in the world when they say the thing rfk likes tho …

One which they had to change the definition of vaccine in order to call it a vaccine, by the way.
