I think i got a $200 gift card to lululemon that i haven't spent for 3 years - i just don't need anything from there. The fact a giftcard would take $2.5 a month doesn't make any sense and is inflationary on top of standard inflation.
The reason is the building liability. If the fee was not charged, liability for lost, discarded and destroyed cards would remain on the books. This could build overtime eventually affecting corporate balance sheets negatively.
Imagine all the gift cards lost or damaged over the last 20 yrs all being redeemed in the same week. While extremely unlikely to near impossible, with the liability on the books that is what the issuer must be ready for.
While not all gift cards do this it is getting common.
Is tge hourly promo usually run every month? Anybody know if it'll run next month?

earned 400tc and ir was only $10 instead of the expected $20 😡

I didnt order the ribeye because it's $90.Cheesecake factory's ribeye is 1/2 the price and I consider their prices above avg.Also, $90 will use up most of the $100 comp.So I got the sea bass ($56): Freaking small! I would be pissed if i was paying $56 out of pocket for it.
For this year's Diamond dinner, I got the salmon:

I earned 2500 tc and got $125 IR.

6 months later (Dec), 2500 tc only got me $65 IR.

Never been to a live circuit event, iirc they are returning to Baltimore after a hiatus. From the looks of Bravo cash games here are pretty dead for the most part, I assume every stop has significant cash traffic increase though?
