NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
Notre Dame hates America
Welp, so much for ND - Army being the featured game, back to the quadbox you go
if the refs put a second back on the clock and BYU pulls yet another miracle out of their ass, I will convert to mormonism
2 yds short of being that guy at work.
Took a screenshot of me at the ‘98 Army/ND game when a mediocre Davie ND team needed a last second FG to win (top/center arms raised).
Son is a freshman at ND/Holy Cross, so house is divided tonight. Go Army!
I think I forgot that we were in the same building that day. Games still close 14-7 ND.
Saluting the TV so hard right now
Welp. ND just too fast.

Where was this auburn team all year
lololololol aTm, way to show up
Auburn jumping out 3 tds means they're totally losing, right?
OkLOLahoma
UK averaged right at 14 pts. a game in their 8 SEC tilts, with a high of 20. 1-7 record. Looks like they'll finish 15 So weird that they beat Ole Miss, but that is what Stoops is known for, able to slug it out with some of the big boys.
I wonder how many other FBS teams had a high of 20 in conference this year, or averaged less than 14? Stoops is remarkable in his 8 bowl games in a row, impossible for UK, but his offense just so often is lame.
The various colors in Vandy LSU keep making me double-take
Really enjoyed that

OU has so many WRs hurt (and just had another one get hurt) that they are turning Jackson Arnold into a RB and it's... working?
ND finally gets a timeout right and gives them a free review.
OF course we run the ball with 14 seconds left in the half.
Beat; couldn't pull the trigger on throwGSU +22 :(
Brag; but I did take the +1200!
Utah is averaging like 2 yards per play, has 2 total first downs and has 13 points lol
Throw **** on the field ya might get the call changed! [emoji23]
For near end of the first half situations, coaches that are truly terrified of an interception would do better just to spread the field and run up the middle against the prevent. They should take the yards instead of rolling out the qb who's told only to throw if he sees a busted coverage.
I have so much goddamn money on ISU
Auburn meltdown is on schedule
Poor punt vortex in the Bama and Auburn games almost simultaneously.
