Moderation Questions
The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
This is the nub of the whole problem with having mods - people like you, and there are probably many like you, see this as some sort of work-like environment where you can earn "promotion" to modship that enables you to act like a cop.Mods should have low status not high and it should be seen as a chore to be shared out between everyone, like cleaning the kitchen in a communal
I'm pretty sure that every mod in this forum has viewed modding as a chore and not a promotion.

If you're not banning me permanently or temporarily fit this discussion, I'm asking you that tempban me for 1 week at my request
I don't understand the wording of this. Are you requesting a temp?
I can certainly handle that for you. But the wording of your post is not clear to me.
The fact that she made posts belittling me for not having kids without knowing how much invetro and things my wife and I went through and the posts got magically deleted and she got promoted means I know i will be eventually permaed again if I continue to post
So i likely won't
I wish you would stop misrepresenting what actually happened to fit your victim narrative. You were shrugging off tens of thousands of children being blown to bits, and I commented that you aren’t a parent. I apologized for the comment, and I wasn’t a moderator when I said it. At this point it’s intentionally dishonest how you’re framing it, and I don’t have to tolerate it.
I probably will perma you again if you just return to the same behavior that got you perma’d in the first place. Giving you grace had zero effect.
And Craig, which reality are you referring to, my friend? You live on the moon. Enough already.
It's amusing that so many people have lost their wigs over this particular temp-ban. FWIW, I suspect that nate himself would agree that he was asking for a temp-ban with that comment.
Anyway, I made these beautiful puff pastries with fig jam, melted brie, caramelized sweet onion, and prosciutto for Thanksgiving. What did you guys have?
A 24lb turkey cooked in a bag. Our standard green bean casserole with fried onions and cream of mushroom, mashed potatoes, corn and cranberries.
Its usually turkey sandwiches for lunch and turkey enchiladas and tostatas for dinner for.the next 3-4 nights.
So? He was still asked if he was Jewish and then attended. You seem to think he's lying for some reason you seem unwilling to specify., and strongly implied he deserved it anyway, as a Star of David is now a symbol of extermination according to you. Which is a quite contemptible thing to say. Your mental gymnastics to deny this was a hate crime is quite something also.
no you just cant read very well.
Yeah everyone else has reading comprehension issues, that must be it, never heard that one before from you etc. 😀
Again your clear implications that the victim was lying, your comment on Jewish religious symbols being symbols of extermination along with said word's Nazi connotations and your general victim bashing is utterly contemptible and despicable behaviour from you. This is why you have faced accusations of anti Semitism and will continue to face, if you continue the way you do.
Odd how many posters who typically have no problems with reading and writing comprehension start suffering with frequent, inexplicable bouts of "failure to communicate" when it comes to you specifically, isn't it?
Must be all the others who are the problem, amirite Vic?
most people dont read anything, as micro always says. even less try to actually comprehend anything.

And yet these same people seem to have no problems reading and comprehending things written by posters other than you, who also coincidentally seem to be able to write better than the average 8 year old. As I said, it's an odd coincidence.
I don't ever really read this thread, but I have to chime in to laugh at the phrase "perma [ban] you again."
They've been taught over and over again that they can get any mod decision overturned and/or force out any mod just by doing this over and over. Certainly can't blame them for trying the usual routine.
But no one could accuse you of trying to influence moderation decisions by complaining endlessly. 😃

The mods give in completely to trolls and bigots over and over and then they throw their hands up in dismay and quit when the place becomes unmanageable. It's been an entertaining spectacle to watch.

I know, right? We've had at least 6 mods in as many years. The revolving door is real.
If only you just watched....
