Currently checking out The Red Clay Strays. 👍
My YT music year in review only covers like 600 minutes and I actually thought that was a little high (10 hours? When?) I consume music mostly thru Spotify, which I expect will be much longer. Anywho, YT says my top artists are Widespread Panic, Grateful Dead, Dave Alvin, The Guilty Ones and Drive-By Truckers. This is mostly expected.
Spotify will have a different list, but I expect Drive-By Truckers will top it out, same as every year (multiple artist of the years and artist of the decade - 2010s) The rest of the list will be news to me...
If it's not apparent, this thread is meant to be the low content December edition.
This is a safe space. We're all in the trust tree together. It's OK to post your nonsense.
Az, I definitely need more Drive-By Truckers in my rotation. Love them.
3 days late, but here I am
Doesn't it though?
If I did a most played on YouTube, it would almost certainly be Todd in the Shadows. Discovered him earlier this year and basically binge watched all his content 3 times.
See 37:51 for his take on Miley Cyrus's Flowers, BTW.
My Spotify Wrapped (year in review) came out this morning. Unsurprising, Drive-By Truckers were my number one band, followed by Jerry Joseph, Talking Heads, North Mississippi Allstars and the Clash rounding out top 5.
As I recall, Shane MacGowan of the Pogues died late 2023, and I vowed then to make the Pogues my number one band on Spotify for 2024. Guess that's a fail on my part.
But my number one song, streamed 26 times this year?
I (still) really love that song.
um... IT'S RIGHT IN THE TITLE.
Yeah, it sucks.
So... Who's using the new platform? I clicked on it once and went nope.
I'm so habitual I'm still using the theme that was a copy of the pre-vBulletin theme and angry that the threads have a max of 100 posts/page.
Where's that cloud to go yell at.

I use to have mine set to 100 posts/page. But got pissed off repeatedly having to scroll to find new posts when there are youtube and twitter posts on the page.
I now use the minimum.

Me too. Not sure if I didn't like it because it's new, or because it's not likeable, but didn't do it for me.
I didn't like it, but didn't really give it a chance. Took me all of 30 seconds to say Nope.
Always try to live up to your genes!
What flavor of Shiner is that? I haven't seen that one before.
Shiner Light Blonde 4.2% ABV. Would compare it to Yuengling Flight.
That pic was taken at the oldest dance hall in Texas.
Tradition Since 1892
In 1892, when Albert and Minnie Luckenbach sold their store in Luckenbach and moved 20 miles east to Martinsburg, the little town was renamed “Albert”. Located just south of Highway 290, halfway between Fredericksburg and Johnson City, the tradition of community gatherings and dancing continues.
Also checked out Luckenbach while I was in the area, but I didn't see Waylon, Willie or the boys. :p
