UnitedHealth CEO Assassinated

UnitedHealth CEO Assassinated

The murder of UnitedHealthcare's CEO is a strange story. On the one hand, the killer obviously was taking steps to avoid getting caught. He was wearing a hoodie. He used a silencer. He clearly had an escape plan.

On the other hand, he was wearing a distinctive backpack. He may have left a food wrapper and a water bottle at the scene. And there was writing on each of the three shell casings (the words "deny," "defend," and "depose").

Well he's been a net positive for NYC and possibly the country. I'm sure they will keep this standard of resources given to solve a murder for all future killings. Bad time to be a criminal in NYC going forward with this type of manhunt being the norm. Safer days ahead!

I defintitely have some biases against unh compared to kaiser which has been a blessing so my f around and find out comment in relation to ceo getting shot was a bit over the line obv.

In a perfect world, this shooting would shine light on the predatory behavior of that company and maybe solve some of them. But things just dont work like that.

This is the McDonalds where he was recognized by customers:

Why would he go to McDonald's if he could go to Popeyes or Wendy's?

Why would you ever go to Wendy’s?

Why would you ever go to Wendy’s?

Their chicken sandwiches are the best around.

by Land O Lakes k

CICO.

But sure, that's not as entertaining as going off on conspiracy theories about a dude with a modest physique having a Big Mac.

i think he has pointy elbows too

if only my physique could be so modest

I assume you are not including Chick-Fil-A since that is obviously unfair?

by Inso0 k

Modest indeed.

I'm just saying you can eat at McDonald's and be ~12%. If this dude were rocking ~5% BF, then the comment would be a bit more understandable, but still misdirected since there are still options available at McD's these days.

definitely has a selfie taken 25 years ago as his profile pic on the Bodybuilding.com forum. He likely also sleeps with a container of whey under his pillow in case of emergencies. Guys like him are just as weird as any overzealous nutjob from other niche hobbies.

Lol. Nah, bodybuilders spend 20 minutes inspecting the muscle striations on theirs and other dudes' asses and such. I've never really understood the lure of it. While I do lift regularly (heavy, not Mary Poppins reps), it is to serve my main sport, which you would probably consider more nutjob than bodybuilding.

Even so, everyone has some interest they nutjob on. For some people it's cars, or guns, or programming, rollercoasters, booze, gardening, skydiving, lego sets, etc., or what may or may not be yours - hours of Netflix while crushing a family-sized bag of Doritos.

Not for me to judge any of it, so long as it doesn't hurt others and it's legal.

Every now and again our office does a mass order of those chick-fil-a breakfast biscuits and I mean, there’s definitely a certain amount of homophobia I can look past in the name of elite food

IIRC, InSoo was like a 5K MMR Dota player back in the day.

Wendy’s > McDs for everything but fries btw. Frosty machine never breaks and they’re less likely to narc you out for murder, so there’s that.

Never get the hype for CFA, kinda bland imo.

the shooter was insoo?

McDonald’s fries are definitely hyperelite for something that can hardly be classified as actual food

Wendy’s fries truly god awful

Has the shooter ever appeared in a Blackrock commercial? Is his family associated with the military or other DS'ers like big pharma? Something doesn't seem right about him/it, just askin for a friend rn.

Now, come on... grab a pound of bacon and give us your conspiracy theory.

I haven't seen the sun since Factorio: Space Age released.

Lol my buddy lives in the building next to where this guy lived

Which makes him ending up in Manhattan even more confusing

Well, by all accounts he got into psychedelics and went crazy, so that could be part of what isn't right about him.

What is confusing? He traveled to Manhattan to commit an assassination, and then left when he was done.

I heard he escaped NYC through New Jersey and took a drone ride to Altoona, PA.

Who kills someone out of frustration and anger and then apologizes for it.

Who kills someone out of frustration and anger and then apologizes for it.

Many. Usually happens at sentencing, though.

What's your CT?

Who kills someone out of frustration and anger and then apologizes for it.

Well, you can believe it is necessary to murder capitalists to attack "the system" while still acknowledging it kind of sucks for the person you murdered, and all their friends and family.

Where did you hear this from?

These are the things I was talking about earlier:

Months later, Mangione lost touch with friends and relatives, according to police sources, accounts from his friends and social media posts.

Just two weeks before Thompson’s murder, Mangione’s mother, Kathleen Mangione, reported him missing to the San Francisco Police Department on November 18, a police source told the San Francisco Standard.

Luigi Mangione is related to Nino Mangione, a Republican representative in the Maryland House of Delegates, The Baltimore Sun reported Monday. The Sun reported the two are cousins who are friends on social media. Forbes has reached out to Mangione for comment. A statement issued on his social media accounts on behalf of the Mangione family said they could not comment on the news reports. “We only know what we have read in the media. Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi’s arrest.

He was a smart guy, attended an "elite" high school, was a valedictorian with a masters degree, who "went missing" in the months prior to the killing, with family members involved in politics. These however aren't yet the smoking gun that he was used as a patsy.

Does anyone know what his parents do?

If you start from the assumption that everything’s a conspiracy you probably will find a few odds things that don’t make much sense.

Yeah, man, and you know Alex Murdaugh was a patsy, too! 😃

What am I assuming?

Looking into whether someone acted alone in a murder or not isn't being a "conspiracy theorist". Are you being serious, or do you just like trolling me?
