Netflix "Watch Instantly"
I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.
speaking of genius....has anyone watched The Agency?

I'm not sure I'll be able to watch it given it's a remake of (in my opinion) about the best TV series ever made in Le Bureau de Legendes, I think it will be a challenge to watch it and not compare. But I'm guessing it might be decent if you've never watched Le Bureau
but then...if you've never watched Le Bureau, you should really drop absolutely everything, pause every piece of content you're digesting and immediately watch Le Bureau so...

I just started the Agency. In the first scene, I recognized the safe house, and was like wow, they are using the same one as The Bureau. It took a few more similarities and about 15 minutes later before I paused, googled, and found out its a remake. Like feel wrath, said I don't think I'll keep going because The Bureau is the GOAT show imo. Having watched The Bureau 2 or 3 times, knowing the plot, and doing a constant unintentional comparison the whole time would probably ruin The Agency for me, and not sure I could even give it a fair shake.

How was Le Bureau second time around? I am considering doing it over the Christmas holidays
bureau is really better than the wire? I've had it on my plex for a couple years, still havnt gotten into it.

Everyone is different and has their own tastes and preferences and I absolutely love the Wire. And perhaps the foreign language and subtitles are distracting for some people so IDK.
I can’t definitely say that I think one is better than the other and I would watch them at different times for slightly different reasons but I’ll just say that they are both on my Mt Rushmore and it might be those two competing for my all time #1
I just watched the first season of Le Bureau and liked it...but it didn't blow me away.
I'm enjoying The Agency quite a lot
Bureau and Gomorrah are the best things I've seen in recent memory. I am a little sad that the Agency is a remake. I thought they would just take some ideas from the french show and make something new from it.
I just finished the Bureau and thought it was great. This is coming from someone who'd really rather not watch a show with subs, so that's pretty high praise from me.
The Sticky was a damn good time! You can't go wrong with Margo and Diamantopoulos. That said...
Dark Comedy on Netflix tomorrow with a lot of stars
Also Season 2 of Bookie on Max starts.
landman is a great show, no doubt ... but i could do with a little bit less of realism to be honest. ep5 was brutal
It comes on earlier than I thought, I can catch it tonight!
Movies tomorrow:
Conclave Peacock
Carry on Netflix
Joker: Folie à Deux Max
I finished Black Doves last night. Agree with an earlier poster that the spy craft stuff was terrible, but nonetheless I really enjoyed it and thought they finished it nicely.
Beat characters by far were the two female killers - I grew up in Wales and their personalities and the way they speak were bang on.
Worst character was Reed the Black Doves leader. Both her performance and her role in the drama were totally unconvincing

Agree on pretty much all of this. The reason I liked this is similar to why I liked Mr And Mrs Smith. I wasn’t in it for the spycraft.
And extra agree on the favorite characters, though Sam was pretty great as well. Reed was infuriating. The whole vibe of the character was irritating.
They snuck in the finale of The Day of the Jackal (episode 10) a week early and had it tonight.
I'm enjoying The Agency. Since I haven't watched The Bureau in a long time , I dont mind that it is a re-make of it. Of course it is in English, uses the CIA instead of the French DGSE, and they call Malatru "Martian" , and his lady love is a different sort of person. The Agency added more action. So there are differences. So far, The French original seems more sophisticated and stylish. Every character was portrayed like they might have a hidden agenda or a secret. So it kept me extra intrigued. Not so evident with the Agency. I'm looking forward to more episodes. Happy viewing.
The Agency will fit well with my watch policy. By the time they finish the series The Bureau will have faded to grey in my swiss cheese brain and it will all be brand new to me.
Lol right?
My GF and I were watching some show last year and argued through three episodes of we had watched it before. We had.
Carry On is a decent action thriller and worth a watch. What happens toward the end is a bit silly but whatever.
Watched the first episode of Dexter Original Sin.
Haha they got young Masuka's character spot on. Young Deb is still ****ing annoying.
