Seems like a solid schedule

Official schedule will be out soon. This is considered to be north east’s premier event.

Will be attending.

I'm not so sure that's the schedule for the series coming up in January. I know it has the year 2025, but it looks like the schedule from the series at the beginning of this year, along with the buy-in amounts, so maybe Cardplayer just took last years schedule and threw it up there for this coming year.

The official schedule was not released by the Borgata, but what they did announce was that it will be January 2-17, and the schedule on Cardplayer has it going to Jan 27.

I'm still in wait and see mode until I see the official schedule posted by the Borgata.

How easy or tough commute between Harrahs’s & Borgata ?

How easy or tough commute between Harrahs’s & Borgata ?

It’s a 15 minute walk, 3 minute drive, probably ~$10 uber. Only real annoying thing would be paying for parking if you drive and don’t get free parking

Jitney the easiest way even it youre parked at harrahs

What card level required for free parking at Borgata ?

Pearl.

The walk between Harrahs and The Borgata is pretty easy, for anyone in average shape. Just be cautious about doing it late at night. When I do that walk, it's usually only in the morning. If it's very late at night, then I do an uber or taxi. As mentioned above, uber is about $10 and change, so it's not too bad.

All though I am planning to play Event -1D Opining $600 on Saturday January 4th.

But very much tempted to play Satty on January 1st . Already booked night of 1st at Ceasars property through my Diamond status. I don’t know my current status at Borgata. Will find out on 1st !!

Just posting to say that 3100 + 275 + 125 all-in rake for the main is very off-market and sets a bad precedent. Regular way fees for a 3500 that the WPT hosts are 3200 + 200 + 100.

Effective rake of 400/3500 = 11.4%, compares very poorly to market standard 300/3500 = 8.6%

Understand everyone is thrilled to get Borgata events back (at all), but this is a material change and departure from precedent. Even the Borgata run (not WPT branded) events were typically 2425+200+75 in the past, or 275/2700 = 10.2% rake.

Really think the players need to make some noise about this unless the players are being compensated in some other way that isn't obvious here.

Your calculation is correct, but it’s a trend lately after Covid to raise the rack to compensate shortage of dealers other increased costs.
I just checked WPT Prime championship in Las Vegas ($1100- $130 ) has rake of 11.81%.
Until competition to offer tournament increase to pre Covid level, we will see similar Rake .
Also WSOP stopped offering tournaments in Atlantic City. Parx didn’t start their tournaments offering after COVID!

Tournament Director of any property has to fight for table space , extra rooms to accommodate huge crowd and has to prove that their event will bring enough revenue to offset regular operations losses.
