Weird Preflop Spot

Weird Preflop Spot

5/5 NL at the commerce

Utg and utg1 limp
LJ (seems like recreational player, asian early 30s possibly a tourist) raise 10
I 3b BTN 45 AJhh utg cold calls LJ now raises 210
LJ started with 480 effective

What should we do here?

Fold unless you have a reason to believe LJ is FOS. Hand is played fine otherwise.

Feels pretty easy fold against unknown.

I don't hate flatting pre on the button with this hand assumning the blinds are not raise happy.

My FOS alert goes off here and I am either jamming or folding there is no call.

why does your FoS alert go off? Unknown, low stakes, the 4-bet is on the larger side (but not crazy large). This is nearly always a big hand that is crushing us. The average rando is usually not 4-bet bluffing.

This should be a snap-fold to this ridiculously large 4-bet, especially since your opponent bet enough so that he's never folding.

When it's 100BB this feels a very safe fold. In position with a good suited Ace I'd be happier to stay involved if deeper.

LJ min-raise ISO'd over two limps. That is a pretty odd play that you don't normally see from someone who has a big hand. Combine that with the gigantic 4bet and I understand why someone might feel this is FoS.

Unfortunately, I still feel like this is a fold without any additional information.

Strange LJ play, but easy fold with AJs,

Le Fold, AP.

Two preceding EP limps, at 5/5, and this clown raises to 10? Overcall, don't 3!, and see if you can break this fool.

I like the 3b. Most of the time this BS raise is not a very strong hand, AJs likely ahead, but I would like to get it heads up vs a weaker range.

With the stupid big 4b now I would fold. He is now weighted more towards all the pocket pairs that have us in bad shape, probably more AA than anything else probably wants to make it more expensive to see overcards on the flop. AA might desperately want the call and decides to go smaller. Occasionally it could be stubborn overvalued lower pairs that want to get it in vs AK, but it could also be something like AK. Too many bad possibilities, so I would just let this one go.

With no other reads, it's just a fold.

Fold.

I like the 3bet, but would make it a bit more expensive for them, because of the two limpers and because I like to punish LJ's sizing a bit more. I think 45 wouldn’t even be considered a real 3bet by most players and will just be called by anyone that was planning to limp/call. So I'd probably go 65 or something so they at least have a real decision to make.

Too often, the villain is thinking that they have AA and doesn't want to chase people out. Once there's a 3 bet, they decide now to try to get the money in so they have a simple decision on the flop. Fold to the 4 bet.

Most of y’all wouldve missed out on a beautiful plus EV spot. This is never a good hand when this player minraises facing two limps its never JJ+ AQ+ in a million years. If he was trapping he would just go for overlimp then LRR. The minclick literally defines his hand strength. Don’t get caught up on the fact that its a 4bet its literally just a live poker spaz. I agree that there is no calling its either jam or fold. Based on what this guy showed up with I’m going to assume jamming was much higher EV.

Result: I rip it allin and fade snapcall. He eventually sigh calls. Board runs out 76498r
And we lose vs K8o.

Who's gonna tell him?

are u asking a question or teaching us?

I'm usually happy to be at a table if there are at least two spewy fish present.
