How much worse could they do than they will in the election a few months from now with JT at the helm? Worst case, it doesn't improve their prospects, best case, they win more seats and maybe hold the Conservatives to a minority. I think it's ok to disagree on that counterfactual. I don't think there was ever a time where switching leaders was going to make some substantial electoral difference, and if anything doing it a year ago would have INCREASED the case for a snap election. You do. Ok. As a counterfactual it is hard to prove either of us is objectively correct.

I agree it does, but it should be done in a controlled environment. Now instead people wake and bake with their morning coffee and drive to work. And yes red wine should be banned.

Seems like there was some number manipulation where we ignored provincial debt and only included federal to get the number that showed us as the best in the g7. Was a pretty good watch for someone who knows little or cares about are debt. If I didn't see this I would have kept believing what uke said this week.
These adjusted numbers put us close to the uk and french debt. The uk debt ended their last government over a budget issue and the french government just failed over a budget issue

We have many that say debt doesn't matter like Montreal but all you need to do is look at the interest payments that each country is making and were that money actually can go.
We cam all post numbers like the poorest state in the USA has a higher median income than all the provinces but it comes down to affordability and how folks feel
ya interest payments is the only real negative of debt it was covered in this video too. I think we paid close to 60billion in interest. The Canadian military budget in 2022 was 25billion. We could 3.5x are military spending if we didn't pay interest. (even tho I think thats a dumb thing to spend money on) It reminds me of the pay now for instant gratification lives most people live now. but in this case every party does it to increase chances of getting reelected and that's why debts will never decrease only grow until something breaks.. kind of the downside of democracy imo

Nope. The #1 job of a government is to protect it's citizens. When you legalize something that has had a negative effect on society it's your job to correct. It was an experiment and it failed. Anyone that is arguing other wise is a weed head, alcoholic or a shitlib.
