PLO DBBP on dealer change

7 players, $10 each. $400 EFF

Hero JT85r (BB)

Flop ($70) -10️ 8️ 8 ❤️
- J ️ Q ️ K ❤️

Hero (BB) Bets $25.
4 callers.

Turn ($195) - 3
- 5

Hero bets $75.

All fold but 1 guy goes all in for $100.

- I know this is a pretty boring/standard hand, but did I play correct here with a lock on one board and nothing on the other?

Is $25 too little on the flop?

My plan was to bet small on flop and turn. Then if the river comes heads up im potting most likely.

And if it's still 3-ways on the river im planning on getting both to call and chopping one of their money.

Is this the correct approach when I have a lock on the flop? Are my bet sizings good here?

I like the play, and I would hardly say you have nothing on bottom. For example you could be up against one guy with a set and one with a flush draw and you have 6 clean outs.

I didn't even see that I had a gut-shot too 😅. Not much but better than nothing.

I think the flop bet is too small, if Hero elects to bet. I expect large sizes are more profitable, half-pot is maybe ok.

Also the hand is NOT a lock on one board.

I disagree. If someone has 10's, thats just a cooler. Highly unlikely. 2 Jacks out already, One Q and K gone too.
The only bad card for me to see on that board is an Ace.

I think the advice on here about DBBPs is way too nitty, especially seeing how wild people play them at my casino.

Saying Hero can lose to bigger boats, including another 8x that gets there is not the same as saying I am worried about TTxx exactly.

I agree the advice on DBBP here does tend to be too nitty.
