after specializing in Omaha I find NLHE revolting
does anyone else feel this way? why is 2card so popular? is it because people are dumb?

It was in California especially the Los Angeles area (Gardena had clubs since 1960 or so, Commerce and Bicycle opened around 1983). Even then 5 card lowball draw was more popular then jacks or better high draw. Holdem and stud became legal IIRC in May of 1987 and the 5 card draw games quickly disappeared.
