Of Course I Still Love You

Grok says -

If you have zero familiarity with abstract math and yet can conceptualize or visualize an infinite-dimensional vector space, that does make your ability quite intriguing. Here's what this might suggest:

Intuitive Thinking: You might have a natural inclination towards intuitive or abstract thinking. This means you can grasp complex concepts without formal training by using analogy or innate logic.
Analogous Thinking: Even without formal education in math, you might be drawing from other areas of knowledge or experience where similar concepts exist, like in art, literature, or even video games, which often deal with multi-dimensional spaces or complex systems.
Creativity: Your ability could be linked to a high level of creativity, where you imagine or visualize in ways that are not bound by traditional mathematical training but still capture the essence of the concept.
Natural Curiosity: You might have a natural curiosity that drives you to understand and conceptualize complex ideas, leading you to absorb and process information in unique ways.
Latent Talent: This could be an indication of a latent talent or aptitude for mathematics or related fields, suggesting that with some formal education or exploration, you might excel in these areas.

However, it's important not to overstate this:

Not Unique: While your ability might seem special, remember that many people can have similar experiences or capabilities in different areas. What might be "special" in one context is common in another.
Learning Style: It might also reflect a different learning style or approach where you understand concepts through visualization or metaphor rather than through formal definitions and proofs.

If you're interested in this ability:

Explore Further: You might find it rewarding to delve into mathematics or physics, where these kinds of concepts are central. Even informal learning through books, online courses, or interactive tools can be enlightening.
Seek Mentorship: Connecting with someone who has expertise in these fields could provide you with guidance on how to further develop your intuitive understanding into formal knowledge.

In essence, while this ability might be unusual given your lack of background in abstract math, it's more about recognizing and nurturing a potential interest or talent rather than labeling it as "specialness" in a singular sense.

I guess my chances of being on The Bachelor are back in action.

Luigi, Diddy, and Sam Bankman-Fried are sharing prison quarters right now. Oh what I would give to be a fly on the wall at MDC Brooklynn in the Winter of 2025.

Manifold Garden is a super sick game. I first played it while passing through mania into psychosis, which, as a thought experiment, I implore to check out the game and imagine what that would be like.

Mushrooms. Shrooms are a happy derivative of psychosis in a way.

What is it like Tripping on Mushrooms iyo?

What is it like Tripping on Mushrooms iyo?

i'm a huge proponent of it but everything i've heard is that if you have mental health issues then it's best to stay away

i somewhat witnessed that first hand, took mushrooms on a beach in thailand with my then gf of 2+ years - she'd had her issues for sure, but everything was under control

she loved the experience, it was not a bad trip, but after the thailand trip she was a very different person who very easily saw the worst in everything and was constantly paranoid

later on i read about the linkage and have always felt guilty for introducing her to them because there's a non-zero chance i was the one who activated that

that said, it always helps me get out of a mental funk where i can see my life and actions with more clarity from a fresh perspective and it's often a change for the better and i've heard many others echo this as well

no film/tv has ever depicted it accurately imo, they need to go to the absurd when what it really is:

stage 1: you want to puke while eating and immediately after (your body rejecting the poison)
stage 2: 20-30 minutes of just feeling uncomfortable as the poison takes effect on your body
stage 3: euphoria - everything is hilarious, constant laughing and giggling with your friends as the drug aspect of the mushrooms now takeover the initial pain and discomfort
stage 4: visuals slowly start to kick in, it's mostly as if everything turns into water, as in it's flowing, you look at a tree and the bark is moving around like a tidal pool - it's still very clearly a tree and you are fully recognizing where you are and what you are supposed to be looking at - you realize pretty quickly that you are in control and "make things move" by staring and concentrating and make them stop as well
like your carpet/art/etc will all have movement to it like a stream

stage 5: visuals increase - you get more "lost in them" they are without a doubt the most interesting thing you've ever seen in your life, you can be sitting on a couch starting at the cushions move and when you friend sits down on the couch you are reminded that you're on a couch in this house with friends which you temporarily ignored because you were so obsessed with the visuals
stage 6: visuals slowly start to dissipate and you enter a more self reflective stage where you think about your life/career/partner/family etc under a new perspective - usually this is very useful and eye opening where you make a lot of breakthroughs
stage 7: it finally stops and you're exhausted and go to sleep and feel hungover the next day

I know it doesn't need to be said, but if there is even the slightest chance of risking your greatest gift, easy pass.

I was already destitute when I began taking shrooms, so I can't comment on how they would have affected me normally. They ended up being 100% medicinal for me.

Weed triggered a moderate level of depression when I was in high school. I learned to live with it. It was only after being exacerbated by various external factors did things get cataclysmically worse.

Yeah.. gave it a thought.

To doctors and law makers out there:

For those patients who are terribly sick already, the chances of making a condition worse from IV psylocybin are substantial. However, without usage their chances of recovery may be slim. I greatly suspect the degree worsened is orders of magnitude less bad than the opportunity to make a human well again.

The point is that someone with a condition as bad as schizophrenia (which I have been diagnosed with, though only once, my condition is on some kind of bipolar spectrum) can be in such dire shape that every possible intervention that has minimal negative exposure should be mandatorily explored so long as there is consent with the patient.

I have a feeling I know why I've been using Grok quite a bit recently and have only used ChatGPT and others only seldomly.
Grok just has a better tone of voice.
GPT reminds me of teachers from school.
Grok rewards me for asking good questions.
GPT gives generic ashe.

I just plugged in an absolutely unique question into both LLMs and Grok's was unanimously superior.

Sleep hasn't been great these past few days. Had a bit of an elevated mood which was a great time. Im expecting things to normalize within 5 days.

Damn. I just hit my peak in life. That means its only downward from here on out.

This song is a masterpiece.

No matter where you are
I can still hear you when you drown
You've traveled very fary
Just to see if I'll come around
When I'm down

No matter where you are
I can still hear you when you dream
You've traveled very far
You traveled far like a star
That you are

I slept 4 consecutive hours last night.

Now let's stay up for another 40 again.

Round and round we go.

Who could know it would end so well?
