Hi all!
Im a 39years old (next year 40... Jesus!) male from Finland. Played poker for living like since 2008 or something.
Lots of ups and downs of these years but still loving the game and im deffinetily more pro than earlier of my ''career''.
In may of 2023 i was bored of grinding my regular games (low/midstakes cash/mtts) and i didn't feel motivated.
Was kind of lost and thinking what should i do with poker.
I was thinking that i should do some bankrollchallenge. But it has to be separate from my normal games so i can slowly build bankroll.
I saw that 888poker has (and still does) a lot of freerolls. In 24.05.2023 i started this challenge and goal was to buy a house for me and my girlfriend (200k€)
So very ambitious goal but i dont have a timeframe.
Start 24.05.2023 :
I grinded a ton of freerolls at first and some pokersites had also some freerolls where i joined.
People gambled first hands all in and i was tight as fk and mental '' i have to made it to the money''...
I managed to win like 20$ of those and started grinding microcash/mtts on side of my normal games.
My computer have changed couple of times between this time so i don have graphs from that time but it was steadily grinding on side.
Suddenly i had 1k.... 2k....3k etc.
In 01.01.2024 this was the situation:
I was grinding 5-50$ spins, lowstakes cash and mtts

I dont have cashgraphs from that timeperiod though and i also got some rakeback and spinspromotions.

Ive played literally every game on site from plo to nlhe from mtts to push/fold...
Stakes from plo50-nlhe20k pushfold lol.
Im down like 20k in last month so pretty degen stuff so hopefully this blog helps me staying discipline and humble.

Plans for 2025:
-Keep it healthy. Not too many tables and different games at the same time! Sometimes i notice i have plo6card,plo5card/plo4card/nlhe6max/pushfold and mtts open at the same time.
-Learn NLHE! I don't think im too good at holdem but i think im winning player atleast at nl200
-DONT PLAY PUSH FOLD haha
-Exercise! Every day atleast walking. Stretching!
-Have fun!

I highly recommend hitting up casino and playing some 21 aka blackjack. if I can run up a roll to 8k from basically nothing u could run 46k up to half a million 500k.

First week of the year behind.
Started games on Thursday i think and played mostly plo6 cards.
Results:
WEEK 1:
On Sunday i played couple of MTT's aswell and managed to finaltabled 109$ 100k$ mysterybounty.
I came 4th and there was also 10k bounty left... I was holding that haha.
Ft was played today ( monday) and i studied FIRST TIME mystery bounties but just a bout couple of hours and i was kinda freestyling but was pretty happy for my overall game.
Last hand im not sure. I think villain should open pretty much any2/or jam (?) in this spot? So i decided to take equity.
If someone knows better these spots let me know. There was about 10600$ left in bounties so 1player have ~2600 on his head...

I agree. You most likely dont need that much money on a site.. better safe then sorry, i would just keep 20-30 buyins for the games you play. You can redeposit at any time i would think. But hey, its up to you what you do with your money 😀

Like other players mentioned above, pls don't keep a big chunk of your roll on the site, especially one that has a history of banning players sporadically and players having issues with "bigger withdrawals". Fwiw, I never had either of the preceding issues (fingers crossed) but I have had other issues with the site. Depositing or top up from an ewallet should almost never be an issue as they are highly incentivised to make sure that this process be as frictionless as possible. But withdrawals on the other hand...
