Have you met my friend, El Foldo?

Villain only has $60? I think I would get a count of villain's chips and raise enough to put him all-in. If you want to be cheeky, you can raise slightly less than all-in so he has to show first after he jams over top.

I find that some of these short-stackers hate going broke, so I actually think he folds to raise a decent amount. If our raise gets action from anyone else at the table, proceed with extreme caution. But I don't mind gambling with these characters in spots like this.

Magic 8-ball says the likelihood of a short-stacker calling PF, betting $10 against 3 players, and then folding to a raise for $50 more is "Doubtful." But there's obviously no way to know for certain.

However, short-stacker doesn't have enough money behind to make this a call or shove for Hero, and the presence of two other players already has me on alert, alone with with my 3 clean outs.

The problem with shoving here is that Villain is going to call with some trash like Q4hh and you are going to be a huge dog. Even 89ss is a 3-to-1 favorite against 85dd here, and I don't think Villain folds that hand (also he could well have every offsuit combo of this hand).

I think check/folding here is fine and may be best. I might call one street though. The other players (who are presumably deeper stacked) may come along. There could be some bluffing opportunities as well if it's heads up and the turn checks through.

Dude that's genius I never thought of that raising just slightly less than all-in to have him show first.

Hero folded. V mucked.

Meh. It's 1/2, it's $10, V might be tilted, and stabbing with hands that will check back a lot of turns.

I probably call the flop, and check-fold the turn if we don't make our hand.

We have to call $10 to potentially win $64 (assuming he'll pay us off if we make our hand), with a roughly 16% chance of turning a straight. Getting 6.4 to 1, I think we only need 15.6% equity, so it seems like we're getting about the right implied odds to call.

If we think he's not going to pay us off if the turn is a 4 or 9, I guess we can just fold.

I would call, but that's just me. We're getting around 5 to 1? Plus there's other ppl in the hand still for more IO's. We lose some possible outs if someone has a FD but it is what it is. The fold isn't that critical, since it would suck if someone raised anyway.
