NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
Why did Franklin do nd a solid and call a timeout before that 3rd down? I don’t understand the logic there.
Edit. And then they committed a penalty after that timeout. Just… lol
The play clock was running down, plus D was a bit gassed. I think Carter was sitting out that play as well.
The offside was just too aggressive D trying to make a play in the backfield. Not the worst penalty because ND are likely getting FG regardless.
Gonna miss the 2nd half. Gotta go to my weekly euchre tournament where I'm the Tyler Warren of euchre!! This is probably a good thing. Not optimistic about ND chances. Not even a Knute Rockne speech can save them.
Leonard getting hurt may just end up winning this game for the domers
at a minimum it increased their win equity

Do you guys think the previous tOSU Penn State game would be worth a watch?
Lets bring back the guy who has done not much
I mean it's a data point obviously but I don't know how reliable or valuable it is. I mean PSU probably has around 20-30% equity vs Ohio State next week. That number would probably be close to the same without that data point. At the end of the day we all know Allar has to play a great game to win that game. I think he's got one in him.
big time back
**** me I'm gonna miss an all time classic.
It is back on
**** yeah we got a game going.
Nothing a few more trick plays can't overcome.
Perfect start to half
I really don't know what to think here except where tf was Love the last 25 minutes of the 2nd half?
Franklining intensifies
RIP punt returner
Fair catch on the 2 but not there....
I feel like Penn states punt returner has some suboptimal decision making tendencies
Surprised they didn’t look at any potential targeting there
Man that quarter flew by.
Franklining intensifies. It's so over for PSU.
dat effort
Man that non fumble recovery really was such a huge inflection point in the game.
all you need is love
