River decision
Live 1/1 7 handed
Hero opens KdJs UTG to 4bb or £4 (250bb or £250)
HJ calls (Covers)
BB calls (100bb or £100)
Flop Jd10d5d (13bb or £13)
HJ bets 6bb or £6
Call call
The HJ had been betting relentlessly when checked to over the time I have played with him. I think having the Kd is a good hand to check call with here.
Question though if we dont have the Kd are we better off betting this flop ourself?
Turn Qc (31bb or £31)
HJ bets 15bb or £15
Call Call
Getting 4 -1 on our money with SNFD and straight draw + middle pair I decided to make the call. Maybe this is too loose multi way here?
River 8c (76bb or £76
HJ bets 25bb or £25
BB folds
Hero??
On this river I wasn't thrilled. I have very marginal hand. I think having the Kd is a very good card to have blocking a lot of his value. I dont know villain very well but im assuming he wont bet river (even thought he was betting a lot) with two pair or a set into two players with 4 to a straight and 3 to a flush out. so im mainly worried about a flopped flush and a rivered straight. straight wise I think unless he has K9, 89 he probably wont have a straight as he would need a random 9x or a hand like J9 109 which I think he would check turn with.
Bluff wise I can beat Adx but I think that would be about all for bluffs

Even 7-handed I'm throwing KJo in the muck UTG.
PRE - seems fine.
FLOP - I probably check-raise here, to 30, fold to a 3B, and barrel most turns.
TURN - as played on flop, I probably check-raise, to 60, fold to a 3B, and barrel most rivers.
RIVER - as played on flop and turn, I'd check-raise, all-in.
Reasoning:
V's who will bet whenever action checks to them are LAGs, and are likely to 3B pre with a lot of their suited aces and big unsuited aces. But they'll often telegraph the strength of their hand with their bet sizing.
The 1/2 pot flop bet may not mean much, but we've got TP2K and the 2nd NFD, so we have plenty enough equity to x/r. The 1/2 pot turn bet and 1/3 river bet are likely to confirm he's weak.
Our Kd blocks the nut straight and the 2nd nut flush. He's very unlikely to have a very strong hand.
Why would you open KJ UTG and then check/call this flop? Either c-bet or check/raise.
As played, calling down seems fine. I don't raise turn or river.
Preflop is really bad. If the table is weak then opening AJo and KQo is OK. Opening KJo is not.
Flop I would normally cbet but if you are confident in your read that HJ will stab (remembering this is a monotone board) then checking is defensible. I don't mind the check-call particularly, check-raise would also be fine.
Turn card is very dynamic. I wouldn't expect HJ to have too many straights here (BB can definitely have some so tread with caution) but the continuation for modest size looks like a hand that is happy but not too happy QJ, QT, AJ, nut flush draw, etc).
River action (another weak bet followed by BB fold) looks conducive to a check-raise. Either that or a fold. You are almost never ahead here but HJ can have plenty of hands you could get to fold. I'd probably fold 60% and raise 40% or thereabouts
