Thomas is AWESOME... I love that guy.

Sowell is good usually but videos are really terrible media for analysis of complex issues

Obama's legacy will always be mass deportation, drone strikes on civilians, and intrusive surveillance on Americans.

Federal deficits were lower during Obama's second term than they were during the first three years of Trump's first term. (They would have been much lower if I had counted the last year of Trump's first term, but that was the first COVID year, so to be fair to Trump, I excluded that year.)

I'll never forget when he finally released his birth certificate (the first one, the green colored one) it was immediately proven by several digital imaging professionals to be fake, which they've shown on their videos how exactly it was faked. I remember one video where the guy was able to remove the digital layers that included his name. This was before all the "fact checkers" we've had in recent years (although the fact checkers are now all saying the certificate was real of course).

Then shortly after that, they came out with the "long form" birth certificate, so they basically said "forget about that one, here's the long form one" (whatever that means). I also heard the reason Trump suddenly dropped these allegations was because people's lives were being threatened.

This wasn't one of the better videos that came out at the time since they've all been deleted from Youtube of course, but it still gives the basic idea.

I don't believe he wasn't born in The United States, and therefore was an illegitimate president, but that's just me.

He was born in the US in Hawaii. The birth certificate was faked because his father is Frank Marshall Davis, or so they say.

My birth certificate was somehow lost by whoever is in charge of birth certificates. So, my mother had to wade through mountains of red tape to get me one.

When I recently got a passport, the person working wasn’t sure what to make of my birth certificate and all the papers with it. (Everything was fine, she just had never seen anything like it.)

I was born in the US. Sometimes innocent mistakes are made. It’s not necessarily a malevolent maneuver.

Trump lying about Obama’s birth certificate should have been enough for reasonable people to walk away from him. But instead they made him one of the most powerful people on the planet. ******s.

That's probably propaganda so people would immediately write off any possibility that he didn't qualify to be president. It's one of the saddest things about our current times, when people hear something that's said on the news it becomes 100% fact with zero questions (this could be pretty dangerous if some day an enemy took control over them, they can literally control us (oh, wait a minute, we're already there)).

From what I remember they have his actual birth certificate (as well as Mike's). He wasn't born anywhere near the United States.

I have no idea what happened. I do know that sometimes mistakes are made by human beings when doing simple things.

If I was a prominent political figure, the fact that my birth certificate has a bizarre history would undoubtedly spawn all kinds of completely ****ing insane conspiracy theories that the less-gifted amongst us would devour. Just like this situation is.

it really doesnt matter what his birth certificate says or who his parents were. Obama was as American as apple pie. a shameless grifter who contributed nothing of actual value to the world and only strived to increase his celebrity.

He said America was about to become Greece. He was wrong about the stimulus package. He said Obama would undo the rule of law, and you wouldn't know what your charges were before a court.

Honest question... for all of those people who want to pound on the idea of the "welfare state"... why don't they ever talk about corporate welfare? Or how companies profits are privatized, but losses are socialized? It always mysteriously seems to be about "social safety net spending". I wonder why? hmmm... real brain-teaser.

As much as I love Thomas Sowell's books and videos, he does have a seemingly irrational hatred of Obama.

If Sowell had any integrity, he would have been one of Trumps biggest detractors, and he would have decried the actions of the courts in the last decade.

But he didn't, so his opinion is very hollow.

He's probably senile at this point, im willing to give him that benefit because otherwise he's just a conservative shill.
