I don't think people disagree with you there. The fact his hand movement can be interpreted as a sig heil is an unfortunate result. We're in agreement. It would be much better if the hand usage didn't have any such similarities. The disagreement is over intent. Furthermore, the ongoing discussion about it is creating a platform for people to constantly be posting more nazi related material. I don't think that's a good thing.

You've hit the nail on the head. I'm not very certain it was unintentional, but it certainly could've been. But this is exactly why he won't explicitly denounce it and why it's such a stark contrast to AOC's denouncing. I don't think it's that these dfs in the thread know that's why he won't do it, they just aren't sophisticated enough mentally to understand what's actually happening. I tried to get them to consider the why several times, but it's like talking to a parrot. They only know a few phrases, but they know them really well.
It warms my heart to see all of the subreddits on reddit banning links to twitter. Reddit is a big reason for their wide reach. This is going to really hurt them and be a huge boost to Bluesky.
