Was at the boat over the weekend & apparently at some point they added Wi-Fi. Maybe this was done in advance of this round of the WSOP because the cell coverage (even in the 1st floor room) sucks bad.

Nice to hear that .. wish the Series was this week instead of next! Maybe drive over for the $400 kick-off tomorrow. GL

Do we know if they are running the 1st Saturday of the month tourney as well as the ME satellite on 6/1?

What sense is it to play seniors from 10am til 3am. 17 hour. There are many entrant that are in there 60s and 70s.

That's... weird.

Why is the play at GVC so much more extremely loose than a few years ago?
It's crazy now.
People will say Rivers has crazy action but you can barely get a heads up pot pre anymore at GVC

The game has changed a lot in the post-covid era

That's not a bad thing. What i hate is that so many people buy in at the table minimum

I see they added a 1/3/6 game now but the max buyin is only 500.

Any interest in getting a 5-10 Limit H.O.R.S.R.E. game or any other low limit mix round by round games going at GVC?

Great ideea , I am interested .

No more Bad beat. No money left after it 3 time in less then 2 months....
So lame

Wow, they actually got rid of their BBJ. I called to confirm, figured it was an error on Bravo.

Their dealers are worse than the charity games. Their pizza is absolute trash. And now, weekend players get nothing back from the promo fund.

Caesars really is the nut low of casino chains.

After a week in Vegas and dealing with the front desk staff of the Caesars property I stayed at: this is the truth. Their training must consist of almost nothing; they are clueless AF

Funding promotions that are unavailable make no sense to me. This reminds me of a time back at the old Ballys LV poker room when the only promotion was 4 hours of poker play to get a comped buffet. There were no HH or BBJP. When I asked if we could play without the promo drop of $2/hand, I was told no.

I was at the casino over the weekend and the dude next to mean was bitchin' about how GVC is collecting $1 per hand for the BBBJ but there is no BBBJ.

I'm a rec player there to have fun and can't really contribute or respond but it does seem sucky.

Technically it's for promotions and they do still run those occasionally. Still sucks.

My read would usually be they are trying to slowly get rid of the poker room with something like this, especially given that Rivers isn't far E/SE, Rockford isn't far N/NW, Waukegan now isn't far NE, and there's still Aurora such as it is.

However they relatively recently completely revamped the room to a "WSOP" room so seems weird.

It gets better.

They're now advertising "lower rake and high hands every day" starting October 17th.

Naturally, I gave them a ring to inquire about the new rake. Buckle up boys, we're going from $7 +1 to $6 + 2. All those pots in the $20-69 range will now have an extra dollar removed.

Did you ask about the HH.

Did you ask about the HH.

I did not. Guessing it won't be too different from what they have now.

I confirmed with the floor this evening that the 2nd promo dollar will come out once the pot reaches $40

Would have thought the room would have been busier with the Bears on MNF. There were 3 tables going during the game.

With no BBJ and options within less than an hour each of NW/NE/S/SE I expect people don't bother any more. Not that this place has been busy often in midweek whenever I've been.

Yea Rivers basically took most of the player pool away. GVC needs to do something drastic to bring players back, like free food or cheaper drinks or something. I don't know, any ideas?

Maybe they should get a vlogger to do a vlog there and get a game going.

I like that idea. Making the room vlogger friendly would help them stand out from their competition. Here are a few other ideas:

1. Get rid of the PLO promotions. The games rarely run, and those customers aren't their bread and butter. Replace them with NLH promos like tournament entries or increased HH payouts.

2. If no one hits the last HH of the night, go to sudden death and give it to the first full house.

3. A drink station would be nice.
