I heard a song tonight that was a cover, but I did not know that the ‘original’ was also a cover, and I’d suspect many people wouldn’t either; e.g. some new band covers Hard To Handle and nobody under 40 knows a thing about Otis Redding.
And of course I can’t now remember what it was.
Not quite a cover as it was originally a Kermit song, but close enough, and beautifully done.
So, for reasons unknown this put tears in my eyes on this Sunday morn,
F**k it - I'm not gonna try to figure out why; just gonna take my Beagles to the dog park.
