Yep. I can't say in my 30 years of watching football live I've ever seen an incident of homophobic, racial, or any type of similar abuse. Not to say this thing has been completely eliminated, and I'm happy to say I may have run good in terms of my experiences, but at least in England, such a thing is certainly the exception rather than the rule

Here's my take: I think the people who swear there's 0 bias from refs are far more crazy than the people who think there's some grand conspiracy. The reality imo is that neither of those is the case and that the likely truth is sometimes some ref's have some sorts of smallish bias due to various reasons and or experiences. They are human after all.

Yeah, i kind of agree with this, but there are exceptions. The "Chelsea rent boys" chant is somewhat homophobic and there are reciprocal chants towards Spurs Jewish fans - the "hissing" chants, "You're getting gassed in the morning", "Spurs are on their way to Auschwitz" and so on are obviously racist and offensive, but thankfully much less common than they used to be.

There are loads of these exceptions too. I remember Park Ji-Sung having "three for a tenner, he's selling three for a tenner" sung at him when Asian blokes selling moody DVDs in pubs was a common thing. There are loads of examples.
