Elon has TWELVE* children. He's an unconfirmed (but real) member of a group of amateur eugenicists that call themselves "longtermists". They consider themselves of "good stock" and want to pop out as many babies as possible. The fact that there's already a barely sustainable number of humans on the planet doesn't seem to bother them, and the fact that they're gleefully following one of the dorkier tenets of Nazism doesn't bother them either.

They want to be Genghis Khan, but he EARNED his place as Father of Humanity by directly slaughtering entire nations and ****ing all the remaining women. All these dudes do is use the computer to hoard wealth and use every tool available to deregulate all fields of industry.

*Including the trans one that Musk disowned because Musk is a reactionary creep

I like technology. I just don't want it to be used by malevolent humans to essentially destroy humanity as we know it. Crazy, I know.

This reminded me of Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who famously promised:

Already the father of one son, Zhirinovsky proposed last month that he sire children in every region of Russia as his contribution to stopping the country’s negative population growth.

I agree with the bold which is why I don't want leftists to have any actual power.

the censorship regime they tried not so long ago was truly horrific.

luckily democracy prevailed

there is a high chance musk will buy truth social for 10+ billions soon enough to kiss the ring (and let trump cashout of it without hurting his followers)

Of course they won’t realize how awesome trump monetize the presidency …

He deserves it 10,000 % .

Just look at this.

Rightwing people generally have no issues with someone making a lot of money if that happens without the money being stolen from them.

Gotta hold some back for the big guy

The what? Genuinely curious as to what regime you refer. Also curious about your opinions on right-wing censorship. Throughout the bulk of US history, it's the right-wing that has more heavily repressed free expression (McCarthyism, for example).

Your correct history has always been the right on censorship. The ACLU used to fight for many rights . Sadly the last 20 years it has reversed

Leon’s dad just had ANOTHER kid if I remember correctly and believes that it his moral obligation to procreate as much as humanly possible because something something eugenics and Leon himself notoriously offers himself as a sperm donor in every situation possible. It’s a dark time to fade incels who got there

Conservatives have been running their censorship game our entire lives bud.

Add the ACLU to the list of things Lozen knows nothing about yet spouts incorrect information.

Was he president at that time ?

I don't think the right-wing should be censoring what books are made available to children in public schools because I don't think public schools should exist. EZ game.

Sincerely,

Luciom

Yeah, the right never censors anything 🙂

The law was brought into effect in July 2023 and has seen noteworthy classics such as Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain all removed from elementary, middle and high school libraries. Even non-fiction books like The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank has also been banned.

Deciding curricula isn't censorship, deciding how to spend public money isn't censorship. Censorship is using the power of the state to limit speech of private actors in private arrangements.

The right did try for a long while to censor flag burning and that was silly. And there were some attempts with porn that basically failed miserably. I am not aware of anything that even comes close to Biden admin talking with social media companies to censor private actors, on the right.

How to use public money isn't censorship. Censorship would be to try to stop you being allowed to talk about that book, or to buy it, or to resell it.

Given any specific public library can't buy all books that exist (except the one library built for that purpose), it's insane to claim deciding which tiny portion of all the books that exist gets bought can be "censorship".

Oh and in general when minors enter the picture things get muddier because you have the competing interests of protecting minors and of free speech to balance.

So it's very hard to claim censorship can exist in general when it's about minors.

Show me what the right did to censor adult to adult speech that doesn't involve public money. Biden sent the FBI to threaten social media companies if they didn't remove content which was legal but which Biden considered "misinformation".

I wasn't just talking about the curriculum.

In many cases, we aren't talking about spending new money. The money already has been spent. The books already are sitting in the school library.

Censorship probably isn't the right word, but in many instances, it's ridiculous government behavior all the same.

Keep in mind that within a list that plausibly includes books which i agree shouldn't have been removed, there are many horrific radical leftist propaganda books like those we discussed a while ago in this very forum with explicit pornographic imagery and so on.

So if your claim is they should have crafted the list better, we can discuss as normal, but that it was imperative to remove radical leftist propaganda and porn, for me it was.

In any case, even if the whole libraries had been removed, it still wouldn't be censorship

I would be very ok with banning all religious books from public schools. they are banned in secular countries like Italy in public schools (outside of the "literary" value)
