My number one rule would be.
Don't take things so seriously. This is the internet, not real life.
And Mods, get a life and stop trying to police every little bit of banter between grown adults. So, someone's feelings might get hurt. Who cares?
I get abused everyday on here and I don't complain about it, I just laugh it off.
Any attempt to create a kumbaya lets all get along forum is silly. Especially the I/P thread. People should be allowed to get heated at each other. We don't need a thread refereed like the NBA. If there is a flagrant foul call it, otherwise let them play.

I understand why certain identities get inflamed. It’s not about blame or shame, but you need to find an off ramp for your own sake. You will keep crashing into the same pit.

(1) You have major issues with men
(2) It causes you to dumb stuff like volunteering to moderate over a male dominated space
I can only imagine the other dumb stuff it causes you to do in your daily life.

Yeah, maybe your self ban wasn't for quite long enough, as your only "contributions" ever since have been to harrass a moderator. I'd suggest dropping it when you return.
I'm not on the forums much these days (haven't been in this thread for months), and I don't (and never will) moderate Politics, but I think an exception here is in order.

I think the second edition of Old Possum in 1940 was illustrated in colour by Nicolas Bentley. Vague idea my parents used to have a Seventies paperback copy. The stage musical dates from, what, the Eighties, and the recent ill-advised movie adaptation was a flop. No clue what any of it has to do with the discussion.

jmitchell42 did 10x more harassment of a regular poster as a moderator than craig did to cn and he not only didn't catch a ban but is oddly still a moderator
not saying craig shouldn't have been banned, just saying the fact he caught one and jmitch is still sheriffing after his only posts here for over 6 months straight were purely to troll one specific user suffering from mental health issues is mind boggling

You probably should lodge your complaints about jmitchell with someone who has the authority to ban or demod him. No one here has that authority. And as you seem to recognize, jmithcell's status really shouldn't have any effect one way or the other on moderation of this subforum.

Moderators don't go on retreats to discuss moderation issues and braid each others hair. And they don't have any authority to do anything to jmitchell. To Trolly's point, what relief are you seeking here? Put more bluntly, why the **** are you complaining about jmitchell in the Politics moderation thread. What do you expect anyone here to do?

I mean, there has been bans up the wazoo and now we have segregated trump trump enacted by them. We definitely don't seem to be short on modding.

it barely seems worth saving anymore. The political content is so minimal. Pity as serious politcal activity and ideas should be soaring. I guess the fact it isn't helps explain the mess we are in.

Who are the 3? CN seemingly wants out. I'm no longer a mod of this forum. And KS has never been a full time Politics mod.
I'll be happy to mod I just assume there will be a group of people unhappy that I'm modding.
My only rule would be is if someone asks you a direct question based on a post you made, you have to answer.
We'd lose all of our right wing posters except maybe luciom
