Las Vegas in pics
The idea for this thread is because I was looking through some photos from a recent trip, but didn't think it was worth
I've seen Absinthe twice and would go again.
9/11/24: photo taken from West Las Vegas looking east at 7 AM.
Sun rising pic amidst the California wildfire smoke that has blown here. this time of year normally the Sun is a blazing bright yellow giant sphere on the eastern horizon.

I still miss the old Binions Saturday tournament, these were from around 2004-2005.
This was the tournament area around 2006 or so.
Palms probably 2007-08
I thought I had some photos of the mirage, but theyre long gone.

Palms was the last room that allowed smoking, AFAIRecall. Even as a smoker (then), it was disgusting. I can "feel" the haze in that pic.

every trip since still involves a visit to binyons if not just for the giggles and grins

Oh man I remember playing at the tournament room. Great pictures. I wish you had the Mirage pics. That room was maybe my favorite with the way it was setup.
The loss of the Binion’s poker room is one of the saddest events in Las Vegas poker.
