PLO5 Whale is all-in blind (100BB), we are are first to act
Kind of a weird spot. The table has one of the few whales or super whales at 1/2 PLO5
This player has a VPIP of 80%. When they lose a few pots they will sometimes do some all-in blinds. The table is 6 handed and some players have gotten a bit deep.
Hero has ~ 320BB
BTN 100BB
2 other players in late position have 600BB and 350BB respectively
2 players have 100 - 200BBs
Preflop: Hero has QQJ99ds pure in sb (but first to act)
BTN is all-in blind, Hero? (4 players behind us)
What is the minimum that you are shoving here? I guess this is sort of a solver question. Obviously we want to avoid shoves that are 1BB+ EV or very close to it. But I think I am missing out if I am just waiting for Aces.
We are in the worst spot to be in this table because we are always first to act. The player has done about 25 all-in blinds at this point. Players in late position are punishing them. We cannot switch seats as there is a full waiting list. The player that is going all-in might do this for 5 more minutes or 25 more minutes.

How are we all in blind preflop at pot limit Omaha?
meet ggpoker: rake + attracting recs/gamblers
it is kind of like a straddle, except all in. That is how you basically do it. You click that you want to straddle and instead of straddling to 2, 4, 8 bb, you click all in.
to OP question, this is really bad to be always in the first position to act if this guy could do this for a while. I would just take a break or if you really wanna play, maybe move stakes 1 down or play 4 card PLO? Or just some other game. It is like being in the SB forever, huge disadvantage.
On the hand itself, I would like to have the T. So either QQT99 or QQJT9 or QQJTT, you get it... Because that hugely increases chances of making a straight.
Of course, I agree that we are in the worse seat, but you don't often get players blind-allin. It happens, but not that often. Even if I just sit and wait for AA it's a huge +EV spot to be in.
I am trying to figure out what the threshold should be given that we are a bit deeper.
it still has to be massively +EV to stay at the table even though you're in the worst position.
I think it's more important to have an ace in hand to block other people from having AA, than having something that looks nice and can flop big or miss like QQJ99ds... It also depends on whether people have been calling loose 3 or multiway... I think I would mostly wait for AA in this spot, but it has to be massively +EV someone jamming blind every hand... GL
But you wouldn't be shoving KKQQTds here?
Should be a premium range this configuration. Maybe top 4% of hands.
So something like good AA, super-premium AK/AQxxx, and super premium KK only.
QQJ99ds might be good enough tbh, though its probably close to the cut-off range. Maybe something like QJJT9ds for the bottom?
Hero might get it in at a 20-25% equity deficit for sidepot, but the risk/reward isn't terrible.
Hero is maybe winning ~15-20bb in HU pots vs BTN, and worst case scenario losing 30-50BB in a sidepot. But Hero will normally have the best hand when he shoves (well over >75% of time).
**I also ignored rake in the analysis.
***Also note that hero acting first is not as big a disadvantage as it appears, as Hero shove can fold out hands that dominate him pretty easily that could comfortable stack off vs villain uncontested, including ak and kk.
How could you need to shove only top 4% of hands? You have 3bb.
Ahhh ok I see. This is basically a good 5-5 PLO table where everyone has 100-500 bucks and is looking to gambol it up pre to quadruple up.
We stick mostly to top of range mergey hands
So obviously all AA and a lot of KK
Then think monster broadway hands like AKJJ, AQQT, AKJQ etc. leaning towards double suited
The lower the pair the more we need the connectivity and double suit.
100% of AA
All KK better than prolly KK76ss and all KKds
QQ better than QQ98ss and QQ54ds
JJ better than JJT9ss and JJ87ds
Any broadways better than AJT9ss and pretty much any 3broadways that are DS with an A with the worse prolly being AJT2ds.
Can do any 4 broadways that are DS with worse prolly being QJT8.
Fold all low rundowns and low pairs. U don’t want shit like 8765 and 4488 in these spots. U want the best chance possible to hit something like top 2 or a pair and a draw to a high 2 pair, flush etc.
This is 5-Card fyi.
It's 5 card.
Having 2 pair in the hole is going to hurt your chances of cracking aces when you run into it.
Probably not as much as you think
