I wonder why Kevin Durant says that LeBron James and his game “fits in with anybody”, given that his career assisted fg% is slightly below 40%, which turns his teammates into spot up shooters and role players. That’s hard to make sense of. Certainly he must know the truth about assisted fg%, given that he’s reading this thread and adjusting his game accordingly? It can’t possibly be true that Kevin Durant thinks LeBron James is good at basketball and creates a lot of assists for his team, which is a good thing (leading to 3 championships in 5 years between 2012 and 2016 — the definition of a dynasty given in this very thread). I watched the highlights and there were zero assisted buckets in the halfcourt for Lebron... But the horrific brand of ball still squeaked by at home against an injured team that the league stole their franchise player from.
I saw enough to know that the Lakers actually have no idea what they're doing and will collapse hard in the playoffs.. After they lose in the playoffs, I will show the specific aspects (simple fundamentals, footwork and moves that Lebron lacks) that prevent him from being a viable or effective off-ball player, let alone elite.

This is a really good point you guys are making. Michael Jordan was the original media darling and face of the league. He was their big money maker. Based on fallguy’s own arguments, of course he was going to get tremendous favoritism. Far more than LeBron has ever gotten.

Lebron needs AD or Luka to make the playoffs in the West, and he was lottery with a cast like Jordan's Wizards in 2019.

Old Shaq and 33-year Ben Wallace were better than fossil Rodman, so I don't understand why people make a big deal about Rodman when Lebron got older guys that were better.
And Rodman was out of the league after the 95' season.. No one wanted him, in part because his wedding dresses and petulance was about 20 years ahead of it's time and rubbed everyone the wrong way.. ^^^ everyone does the bolded though - with rare exceptions, everyone dominates the ball in today's game, and Luka does it better than anyone else.. The only guys that don't dominate the ball are older (Curry, KD).. And also Jokic, so I guess Jokic is better and Luka is #2.

When the dust settles on the collusion and rigging, Jordan has twice the title or MVP frequency as Lebron - more titles and MVP's in 8 less seasons and about 89 less all-star teammates.
Jordan also developed single-digit rookies to win, so he learned great chemistry and how to win, while Lebron was handed ready-made stars (talent-based winning) and never learned how to win.. After 22 years, he still imposes spot-up roles.. He never evolved out of this AAU skillset.
And Lebron was only MVP for a short window of 09' to 13', while MJ won MVP's throughout a 10-year period (88' to 98') and until he was 35.
