[PokerStars] Software Improvement Thread

I've noticed that occasionally the auto-top-off feature at the cash tables sometimes stops working and I have to click "add chips" every time my stack falls below 100. This doesn't happen every time, but it happens every now in then. It would be nice if this bug could get fixed.

Could PokerStars increase table cap limit to like 16-18 at least?

Anyone use HEM3 but using an old version and nonpaying version of it after their annual subscription expired can tell me if HEM3 hud no longer works anymore at stars recently? It does seem to record but hud doesn't show up or work?

Do most people use HEM3 or PT4 on stars? Are there still people that use HEM2 or that no longer is compatible? A while back I remember you could still use it and it worked.

Does anyone know if PT4 uses less resources than HEM3? I was testing playing many tables to see how many tables on stars with HEM3 and starscaption and notice if going up to say 20 tables, there isn't any lag. But last time when it was 24 tables or even a bit more than that, there was heavy lag and freezing. When I stopped the hud on HEM3, I believe the freezing stopped.

I'm curious but are there people these days that 20 table or more on stars? What about 24 table or even 30 or very few if any do that? I know that years ago, people would 24 table or even 30 table but almost nobody does that now. I don't play anywhere near those amount of tables but I'm curious if everyone will get lag regardess if you are using PT4 or HEM3 while running starscaption doing this on stars?

Does anyone here have the issue where the entire fold button disappears sometimes when the action gets to you? The cold and raise is there but the fold button disappears? This happened after a stars update.

Fixing your hand history retrieval system would be great.

Does anybody else experience random disconnects?

My internet works, only get DC'd at all tables, also it doesn't automatically unregister me from a tournament (which it does when I encounter a real DC)

Now when I open the stars client, I always click on the stars icon on my desktop screen. So I"m not clicking start button and then clicking on stars client. I recall back then when I did that, it would seem to update stars more often than clicking on the stars icon on the desktop? Most people just click on the desktop icon but doing that would only get updates only when it's necessary? Opening stars client from start menu would download any stars update?

The fold button on the table sometimes disappears? This happens quite a bit on a few tables but usually one table at once and not the other tables. It happens several times at least a session. I do have a hotkey for folding so I could fold.

When you try to click on the box to discuss deal at a final table, I know a box is suppose to pop up and then allow you do check to discuss deal. However, the box never loads? It's similar to like how not long ago when you try to open a stars chest after playing a session, the box never loads. So the only way to open the chest is log out and sign back in stars. Then you can open the chest. Does anyone here have this option when they click on discuss deal box at a final table where the box doesn't load? The thing is if you log out of stars and then sign back in, does anyone know why the discuss deal box no longer shows up in the bottom right?

Before I close the stars software, seems like many times when I close it by clicking on the X button, it would freeze and then say something like software isn't responding and then freeze and software close itself. Does anyone know why this happens a lot? Is it possible that I'm using an older stars client so I am having these issues? There seems to be lot of freezing that goes on and then client closes itself.

I've always kinda hated bad beat jackpots. Just seems like something that is so unlikely to win and just another way for the house to take more money out of the game.

Why does it seem any tournaments you select as a favorite and add to your tournament favorites always sometimes later on doesn't show up starred in favorites? I have favorited many tournaments many times and even did both options, that specific tournament and similar tournaments. But some session later on when I register, I notice many of these tournaments are no longer in my favorites? Does this have to do with when a tournament changes it's guarantee, then the favorite is gone? Example say a $22 Hot Progressive that has a 5k guarantee. You favorite it. Say sometime later on, that same tournament is now a 6k guarantee. It no longer has a star on it and if you want to register it using your favorites tab, it isn't there. You have to go back to regular tournaments and register or favorite it again. The issue is sometime later, it own't show up in favorites sometime later?

The reason why I want to favorite it is because I don't want to go to the regular lobby and browse through tournaments. I want to favorite them so I could then register easier. Does anyone here have an issue with this? The other thing is I'm not even sure it has to do with the guarantee changing for the tournaments? I recal a Hot $22 Progressive having a 5k guarantee or 10k or whatever it maybe and I'm sure I must have favorited so many guarantee amounts many times. So why does it keep getting unfavorited?

How WPT that is operating in so few countries overcome PS, it's hard to belive, also GG with giantic rake being on top is sad

My last deposits were all declined and support was useless. Crazy how they went from #1 to ... this.

I wonder how everything went down the hill for pokerstars and why they dont do anything to rebuild,to give some good promotions(not those trowables sh.it and give actual rakeback.Also,stop those chests and give the players the rakeback straight after they complete the progress bar

i think it might be my pc but client is crashing a lot lately and games are dead.

that games are dead has nothing to do with your pc 🙂

Every time you start the client, it gives you these cookies no matter what you click. Does anyone know how to fix this? Reinstalling the client didn't help.

^ Not sure if this would help you, but some issues with the client can possibly be resolved by logging into pokerstars website and clicking some things there

Thanks for the advice, I logged into the site but it didn't make any difference. Will be contacting X support. Just was hoping someone had already encountered this problem.

1. How do you save all your stars settings and files so that you can uninstall it and then reinstall again? By stars settings, I mean like all your stars settings for favorite tournaments and things like that but also hotkeys?

2. Is there a reason why when I favorite tournaments, the next time when I go to my favorites, it doesn't show up and I have to favorite it again? Example say you want to favorite a few tournaments like Hot 11 and Big 11 just to make it simple. Some days when I go to my favorites tournament tabs, tons of tournaments are not favorite. It seems like stars when they make a guarantee a different amount for a specific tournament, you have to favorite those later on? Example, say Hot 11 is 5k guarantee. You favorite it. So say everyday of the week that tournament is 5k guarantee, it would show in your favorites tournament tab. But when that tournament is 6k guarantee, you have to favorite it again? I had to do this so many times. But I don't think that this is the case because I had to favorite so many tournaments multiple times and well each specific tournament isn't going to have like 8 different guarantee amounts?

3. Does anyone have an issue where whenever you try to close stars by clicking the X button, it never closes smoothly? It always shows (Not Responding) and then it freezes/lags for a bit before the software closes?

4. Table Glitch? This has happened at so many tables but I notice only when I have a lot of tables opened. By a lot of tables, I mean like 12 tables or more. But I think it mainly happens more at 16 tables and more. When action is on you, the fold and call box button is no longer there. Only the 3rd box button which is the raise button is there. So unless you have hotkeys on, I'm not sure you can even click on fold or call? The other issue is sizing your bet is hard because it just shows the last box? Does anyone have this table glitch with the boxes not showing up?

5. Freezing and Lagging. I noticed when it was 16 tables or so, when I use mouse to click or hotkey for action, the software is extremely laggy where multiple clicks either does not work or if it does, it takes a lot of clicking. I then noticed when it was at 20 tables or more, you can't even click on anything. The lag is basically unplayable. I had closed starscaption and turned off the hud on HEM3 and interestingly enough, it was still lagging. Did the last software update made it like this?

6. Will a stars uninstall and reinstall fix these issues?
