New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Inhaling leaded gas fumes offset the benefits of the former.

"Y'all got any dip for these paint chips?"

I pronounce it HIPPA.

Anyone get in on the preview yesterday? I'm intrigued. Tempura 'cado wedges from Habit.

I see another trip to Habit in my future...

I've had fried avocado tacos in Texas before that were pretty good. with a good dip there should be too.

Mark k ,may I ask how your health is , etc . I have been following this thread for a decade and see you have always been eating ff frequently.. I personally get sick in my stomach every time I do (which I do occasionally cause I love Popeyes spicy chicken) but what percentage of your meals are ff ?

lol my health is fine. I'm a normal weight (6', 175), Cholesterol is great (160T = 110ldl+50hdl) and I exercise 4 times a week.

Also when I go eat at the Bell I often walk. About a 4-5 mile trip.

If you are getting sick when eating food, you may want to discuss that with your doctor.

I went to bk today... pretty good whopper, however tomatoes really suck this time of year. Cant wait for summertime whoppers with maters in season!

Free with 750 points; added cheese and bacon to get the total above $1 so I could get the free anysize fries.

Keep that up and you'll challenge Mark_k for ff GOAT.

On another note, they're running some new promo 245, 347. Dude in his 30s came in with a kid, apparently didn't know what a whopper jr is. Lady was literally like... "its a whopper, but smaller"

mind blown

edit: took half the fries home, going to see if the air fryer can revive them. 50 50 chance

2 for 5, 3 for 7 has been running here for over a month.

Unpopular opinion: jr. whoppers suck. Last time I did the 2 4 5, I was mightily disappointed.

In the old app, you could turn any burger into a whopper jr or whopper for free by adding the required toppings. The latest app makes it cost more but may still be worth it.

The latest app update also removed the ability to vary toppings from 'Light' to 'Heavy' Sigh.

his episode of Tiny Desk is really fun

Thanks! I've been listening to his music for a looong time, but I've only watched a couple of brief interviews with him.

I can still do this, just tap on the item and the options appear

That's interesting. I don't get those options. I select a whopper and click customize. I get regular or no. You aren't double tapping or some other weird swipe?

I use to get those options.

I just tried ordering using the website. Same thing. If anything, the topping options are just check boxes.

Maybe it depends on the store?

Maybe it depends on the store?

Maybe. I'm also thinking possibly iOS vs Android.

I just checked around. You are correct! Different store have different option selections. Interesting.

I noticed in Hawaii, the Whopper is $10 but they let you add extra tomato and lettuce for no charge.

Where in Oceanside CA, extra lettuce is 89c!!!

Hooray for 2p2!

I do it the other way round, turn a Whopper Jr into a cheeseburger. I don't particularly like lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. I have to pay extra for cheese, so they actually cost more than a cheeseburger, but it's worth it for the cheap chicken sammich.
