NCAA Basketball Thread 2024-2025
Quick OP here just to get us up and running
Things to watch for this year:
1. Can UConn 3-peat? Hurley won back to back championships with Clingan, Tristen Newton, and company. Can he make it a third with only one returning starter?
2. Who will be this years national player of the year? Zach Edey was the best player I've seen play college basketball in my lifetime. People throw the term generational talent around alot and Edey was truly a generational talent winning back to back national player of the year awards. But, now he's gone. So who can win the award?
- the 5th year guards in Mark Sears(Alabama) and RJ Davis(UNC) are a good spot to start. Both elite shooters and engines of an offense, they should lead two really good teams.
- the 5th year centers in Hunter Dickinson(Kansas) and Ryan Kallbrenner(Creighton) are also viable options. They'll be the anchors to what should be two really good teams.
- The phenoms: Cooper Flagg(Duke), Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper(Rutgers), VJ Edgecombe(Baylor), and Tre Johnson(Texas) lead a loaded freshman class.
3. Who are the contenders?
Lettuce college basketball
Like 22 fouls with 4:45 left
If everyone fouls out do the coaches finish the game?
THIS IS MICHIGAN!!!!
Buzz sporting Jay Wright levels of dapperness
Big Ten tournament champs don't lose to mediocre SEC teams.
An Ohio State transfer is why Michigan is going to the sweet 16.
All the fouls, refs in college get paid by the whistle I guess
Layups are difficult
lolrefs that’s not tending you idiot
We gave it to our alpha and he delivered
Inflategate?
Sorry I ever doubted Michigan
Devour feculence Aggies
B1G 10 and 0.
No other has conference has even started 9-0 before.
Regardless of how the rest of this tournament ends, this cements the B1G as the GOAT performance in a tourney ever with this unreal 10-0 start.
Let's see if the Badgers can make it 11-0!
Hell of a way for Michigan to get boned by seeding and still make the sweet sixteen.
suck it Creighton
Pups lose. No answer for Tech's inside dudes; at half, they had 33 of their 37 points.
Still, if someone had said before the season, "31-3, MVC championship, first round NCAA win", 100 % of Drake fans sign up for that.
Always disappointing and deflating, but TTU simply better. Congratulations to them.
That Arkansas team was remarkably like the Calipari first 10 years or so at UK, when you couldn't make a layup against them. It's rejected, changed, intimidated, pushed off balance, etc. Will never forget somebody putting up a layup against them, two guys blocked it ... and they counted it. Not because of goal tending but because it went in. Two guys blocked it, confirmed on slow mo replay, and it went in. The announcers totally whiffed on it, surely one of the freakiest plays ever.
lol st johns university
Pitino exposed as a FRAUD
LOL. Auburn dodging aTm is the best thing that Auburn could have hoped for. aTm was a nightmare draw for Auburn.
But I'm not surprised to see aTm shank the end of this game.
You're overlooking an important fact. Michigan owns the SEC in football and basketball. That's why I'm rooting for Auburn over Creighton. I want the easy win.
